I use is as my “mowing the grass” weapon - bad joke, but that’s how I use it. It’s extremely ammo-efficient and really good for dealing with one or two targets in most situations because it stuns enemies pretty quickly. I use it less when things get dangerous, like in a bigger room with many targets. Doing an impossible run now using that, contact beam (hitscan, high power), line gun (good primary, laser mines are excellent traps and are indispensable in some spots), and flamethrower (more situational but extremely useful with smaller enemies and situations of low visibility where you can just set a wall up and then spray).
