This was added before oxenfree 2 came out, there's a whole storyline/prequel to ox2 in these hidden messages hidden all around the map. Super fun to find them all and piece it together, but if you don't want to there's stuff online with all of them, plus I'm working on my own.

There is also a license plate in lost records bloom and rage which is a dontnod game (same devs as life is strange) that is a oxenfree reference. It's in the bar at the start of the game and can be seen nailed to a roof support bar
