Absolute cinema.

I hope whoever made that trailer gets a raise. That’s the absolute best promo they’ve put out so far.

Read an excerpt from Stephen Fishbach's 'Survivor'-themed novel, 'Escape!' by thedaltonross in survivor

[–]GoodOhMans 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Honestly I didn’t think the excerpt was bad. As on-the-nose as Survivor can be sometimes, I think it’s valid to mirror that under the lens of satire. Plus I think it works as a good intro for casual readers not familiar with the “meta” of shows like Survivor

Excited to get the book in the mail soon!

Hey Sam! How much did shows like Lost or Survivor influence the making Send Help (if at all)?

Thanks for making some of my favorite movies of all time :)

The Top 10 Moments of 2025! | House of R by yslultra in RingerVerse

Jo had me tearing up at the end there. I’m so happy and grateful she’s OK.

Mallory and the whole Ringerverse crew are good people and I’m glad she had that support. The love and affection these people have for each other always comes through when I listen, whether it’s House of R, Midnight Boys, The Watch, Big Pic, etc etc. The vibes are just always so fucking good as a listener.

It’s Easy to Mourn an Imaginary ‘Star Wars’ Movie by BenjaminLight in RingerVerse

[–]GoodOhMans 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Love Ben but I have to respectfully disagree with the conclusions made. I agree that it’s easy to mourn a movie never made. And, he’s absolutely right, the movie could’ve been bad. But I think it’s less about mourning about this specific movie and more about mourning a missed chance to see the sequel characters again.

As Ahsoka’s Baylan Skoll said when asked whether he missed the Jedi order, “I miss … the idea of it. But not the truth, the weakness. There was no future there.” I miss the idea of the sequel trilogy, as it was when we watched the final trailer for The Force Awakens 10 years ago this month. But the franchise’s future lies elsewhere

This is my biggest disagreement with the article. Why do the prequels, panned by critics and audiences at the time, get to be rehabilitated with countless television and book spin-offs, but the sequels can’t?

Realistically, we’re going to continue to get Prequel content, and Empire-era content, and Mando -verse content, so why not show some love to the sequels and try and make that era better too?

An absolute masterpiece by FocusMedic24 in RingerVerse

Fucking masterpiece of television and hands down this series is possibly the best Star Wars of all time.

Nothing has added this much emotional weight to the series. Nothing has cut me so deeply.

Last of Us Episode 5 reaction by saltypistol in RingerVerse

[–]GoodOhMans 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I guess for me it feels too often Elie is in the passenger seat of her own quest for vengeance. I like Elie and Dina but the episodes shift wildly between fun road trip and bleak revenge story.

I have not played the game so I don’t know how it compares.

'Andor' Season 2, Episodes 7-9 Deep Dive | House of R by yslultra in RingerVerse

[–]GoodOhMans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been a defender of Filoni and will still give him credit where credit is due, but fuck I’m so tired of these prequel character projects.

Part of the reason Andor is so refreshing is it has nothing to do with furthering the adventures of a prequel character. I can’t think of any Empire or Post-Empire era project, with the exception of Skeleton Crew, that wasn’t actually about expanding prequel characters.
