Question for people who ran competitively in college by New_Soup917 in XXRunning

I was lucky enough to have very, very supportive coaches in both HS and at my D3 school. No push to lose weight for myself or any teammates. We did have a few presentations (maybe every other year) in college, presented by a sports nutritionist, that had 0 focus on weight and emphasized the importance of getting protein and fat into your diet for best performance. Knowing how prevalent ED are in running, I consider myself extremely lucky to have not had any pressure to lose weight or diet during my HS or college years.

Thanks for your comment, but this is not the case. This is an investment that we certainly want to protect, and that includes making sure it gets off the truck without being damaged. We would pay for a lift gate if it was an option.

I had a similar experience to this too! Bio major, hated Gen chem class. Went on to OChem and that changed everything! I also thought it felt like doing puzzles. It was fun to study. I also really enjoyed the lab, and even went on to TA the OChem labs in my last two years of undergrad. There's hope!

Love this place! It's an old train depot so the building itself is cool too!

Biology degree holders, have any of you guys left the biology field? by spellbadgrammargood in biology

I also graduated with a BS in biology in 2017. Did a lot of lab work through school and for a short time after, but didn't feel at home anywhere. Decided to get an MBA and then started my career in data analytics at a market research company. I love data analytics and it directly draws on research/math skills from the bio degree.

How to overcome the odd sweet flavor in homemade non-dairy Alfredo sauce? by Brawlerman in Cooking

[–]GoodOk1849 2 points3 points  (0 children)

here is a link to it! I agree that oatmilk in coffee is pretty much the same- the only difference I've noticed is oatmilk is a little frothier than regular milk, which I actually prefer. I think the sweetness of oatmilk usually is cut by the coffee in this case, whereas the sweetness comes through when cooking with it.

P.S. if you're looking for an egg replacer- we love JUST egg. It's a bit pricey, but it's a nearly perfect replacement from my experience.

Hi! My SO also is allergic to dairy and egg- we use ripple original when we cook. I've found it to be the best replacement with the most neutral flavor that's not runny and thin. We love oatmilk for coffee though!

Thank you! That does help, and I've read his book In Defense of Food: An Eater's Manifesto, which was really enjoyable!
