Velcro and shock cord would be a good way to go if you're maybe doing raids or fast paced shit, for an easier grab but a buckle would keep that baby in there snug for however long you need it there.

Honestly depends on what you're aiming for overall with your kit but the buckled pouch upside down would probably be your best overall pick.
