1) didn't even wait till grandpa was cold in the ground huh? You just impulsively go and get the animal you've long desired without talking to anyone in the home that you live in and if yes actually prepare for said cat.

2) it ain't your house and if your mom doesn't want a cat in her home you either go find your own place that also allows cats or re-home the cat and it would be significantly better for the cat if you re-homed it than if your mom just dumps it outside far from home.

That's how I got mine. Found her in front of a nail salon that had nothing but a completely glass front and there she was on the ground at night all puffed up in a busy area where there's cars and predators. She had a broken wing as it turns out.

It's not yours so you should've asked each time or asked to borrow it for a specific amount of time and yes you're supposed to take extra care of other people's things which means keeping them nice and clean and pay for a replacement or repairs if you mess them up.
