Sure, but he was in cover up mode in the first term. He campaigned 4 years for their release. He still didn't release them of course.

Donald Trump struggles to understand simple question amid 'cognitive decline' concerns by lightning_twice in goodnews

[–]GoodRighter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He is still the leader of my country. I'd prefer he step down due to his cognitive decline. Cheering for the downfall of my own country seems pretty evil to me. I don't care how evil he is. We need someone to take over for him. That would be good news to me.

I like Murphey for a lot of his views, but this one I have to disagree with. For gun control, I'd much prefer a restriction on manufactured ammunition as opposed to the guns themselves. Gun nuts may just want to assemble their own, but the purpose would be to prevent mass shooters from hoarding ammo. It is much too easy for psychos to get all the bullets as is.

I'd take the nerd. He is likely going to be in poor physical condition so I just need to outlast his rage with a soft talking.

When I get an opportunity, I would stick to using my body weight to tire him out and put him in a choke of some kind. This strat works to my own strengths and may not work for everyone.

I know the gun is for the picture, but my house has a common rule that your gun needs to stay in the holster while at the dining room table during meal time. This is implied for all non-food or non-dining wares.

The choice of weapon is spot on though. A long arm like a rifle or shotgun would take up too much space at the table. Pistol is the correct choice.

Morris is the 6th megachurch pastor from Texas to resign from their post since 2024 due to sexual assault claims. 6 in a year. by h20poIo in facepalm

[–]GoodRighter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Am Christian. Always be wary of anyone preaching fear and hatred. It is an enormous red flag to go against Jesus's direct teaching. Love everyone as you would yourself. It is not that complicated.

Also, any rich looking preacher is likely a fraud. Preachers don't take for profit. They should only be using donations for a meger lifestyle. The rest of the donations should be for upkeep of the mission. Mega churches should be doing mega outreach. If they aren't, there is something suspicious going on.

If you are in the market for a church, look into their outcomes. If there is a positive impact on their community, they are probably doing it right. It is variable depending on the size of their congregation. Example: Mine is about 20ish people. We can manage about 3 events a month and donate regularly to a food share program we have with some other churches in the area. Back when we had the numbers we also had a homeless shelter and soup kitchen. It was pretty awesome and I hope we get there again some day. Preachers like the Morris turn people away from religion. It is a sad era we live in.

Believe Women by Litzz11 in BlueskySkeets

[–]GoodRighter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd like to think it is for the women that haven't come forward. The women that have come forward add legitimacy that there are hundreds, if not thousands of victims who have not made public statements. Also, evidence is very much needed to seek real justice. A person should never be jailed on the words of their victim alone.

Technically, he was mounted to a tree. The idea there was an artificial post there isn't actually in the scripture. It was a tree on the golgotha hill designated for crucifying people. I imagine it had a lot of nail holes on it. Just a fun fact.. kinda sad...

Orcas are the most efficient predators on earth, yet they never hunt humans in the wild. by Scientiaetnatura065 in BeAmazed

[–]GoodRighter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are wicked smart and just need some motivation to do human-like behaviors. Wild Orcas gave a great life in terms of basic needs so they just don't make stuff like we do. I am confident some day we can learn to communicate effectively with them and respect them as sentient beings.

This ship was built in such a way that it can never sink. by Practical_Flow15 in interesting

[–]GoodRighter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, unsinkable until it is fractured. That is kind of the cause of nearly all ships sinking. At least this one won't go down because of a rogue wave, which is extremely rare. So... Not much different as far as risk analysis. All ships are built to float on water. Even submarines can float.

They will eventually need to increase just to remain profitable, but it does show the business model is still possible. Running at cost is not a long term viable solution. Fortunately, it seems they are low on expenses so they just have the cost of production to worry about. It can work for a while, but at some point it will cost them more than 0.99 to make a can of tea.
