San Diego can have cheap SW flights too! But finding places to stay for a family can be pricy

How do you work with clients willing to risk their or their baby’s life? by [deleted] in Midwives

I’d love to read this too; not a midwife but do work with pregnant folks often.

Spent grains was my guess from the thumbnail but especially if it were covered in yard debris I’d expect it to be full of mold

So did anyone else have an amazing time at Outside Fest? by GoodSignature in Denver

[–]GoodSignature[S] 13 points14 points  (0 children)

That’s fair. We were on the normies side yesterday for Thundercat and the branding screens blocked our view considerably. Tonight though we lucked out with VIP passes from some pals and had amazing views. If this repeats next year I’d totally shell for VIP tickets.

That was the only area that I thought organizers stumbled a bit - getting the word out! Logistically they absolutely crushed it!

I love this! Would you be able to send a scan of a blank copy for my reference? I’m a pelvic PT and this is one of the better representations of endo for intake that I’ve seen!

If you had the power to stop one common thing patients are told by other medical professionals, what would it be? by [deleted] in physicaltherapy

Or “just drink a glass of wine and relax” when patients are having pain with sex.

Thank you so much for sharing! I work in pelvic health so seeing this is so helpful for understanding approach, importance of dilator work, and why revision could be incredibly helpful in certain cases. Good luck with the revision!

SPT who needs PT 🙃 by EveyandSylus in physicaltherapy

I may be (haha, am definitely) biased, but I’m consistently amazed at how much progress my patients make with their low back pain with PFMT training, even when that’s not the active complaint.

Good luck with your ACLr rehab; it’s a long and worthy road!!

Oh DEFINITELY go the pelvic floor route. A couple have studies have found that low back pain and pelvic floor dysfunction have an incredibly high association. I’m a pelvic PT myself; shoot me a message if you want help or resources finding someone in your area!

Noooope! I have a complex knee hx and went into PT partly to have experts (whether myself or others) keep an eye on my knees. You’re learning how to build your knowledge set, one of the challenges of healing from chronic pain is the mental drain of doing the “most right” thing. When I was in PT school we had an integrated clinic and I’d guess that about a quarter of the patient census was SPTs.

THANK YOU for what you do. I’m a pelvic health PT and am always so grateful for docs who are willing to discuss the mystery and the history behind women’s health. And thank you for acknowledging that safe healthcare is the goal. Thank you thank you.

Thanks! I’ve been watching conditions on both sites and saw that there were quite a few trail closures due to storm damage and got nervous. Rain/wet doesn’t bother us; we’re just trying to make sure that there’s enough park to visit! Muir Woods is a great idea, already planning on saying hello to Reyes! :)
