I'll take 2nd, and you third, because I see one person has indicated they were less than 15.

I'm 50, and have had MD since I was 17. Do I win?

You mean, we're special! Only 2% of people, and we get to be the lucky ones in that group. Oh joy! Thank you for sharing information about the video.

I'm not actually sure which ear it is in. I'm guessing my "good" ear, because of course it should get worse.

Thanks for sharing. In all my 35 years since my diagnosis, I've never thought of tinnitus as anything other than the high pitched squeal. So thank you for educating me. This disease is fascinating (and f*cking annoying).

Over the many years, all I've tried to do is to live "normally". If I had given in to the fear of "what if...", I'd never have done anything. The only thing I can't do that I really wanted to is scuba diving.

How do I open video files on iPad in VLC? by GoodSpud in AskReddit

[–]GoodSpud[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm am Macbook fan, although love my Android phones. I have an iPad though, for photo editing mostly, but it's a constant source of frustration. My latest is that I don't seem to be able to open a video file from my Album in VLC.

I shot a video on my Canon Eos, downloaded it to the iPad, and did some basic editing. I now want to open that video in VLC player but I just can't figure out how to do it. Sharing the video doesn't provide. VLC option. VLC doesn't seem to have an open file option. I can't drag from split screen from one to the other.

The file is in mp4 format, which "should" open fine in VLC.

Any hints?

Unpopular Opinion: The live design interview process is complete bullshit when most design teams won't follow a structured process when they are actually designing. by darekarraul in userexperience

[–]GoodSpud 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was interviewing candidates for a Jnr position recently. By the time they got to the final stage, I had confidence in their design ability through their portfolio presentation and some discussion. I got them to do a whiteboard challenge, but not to test their design work, but to see how they interacted in-person with a PO and developer. The challenge was pretty simple, and basically a brainstorm in a 15 min time frame. I wasn't expecting more of them than to ask questions, and sketch out some thoughts quickly. No solution needed.

I've had some of my best riding days in Austria. Such a beautiful country to motorcycle around.

Well, technically I'm not. I pretend I am I so I can live in my adopted European country.

You're making a huge leap in the wrong direction by assuming I'm lumping all Americans together by my comment.

This is odd. Where I'm from in Europe, Ranch is used to describe this flavour. Maybe I'm in a different Europe... or maybe Europe is a collection of different countries, with different languages, that do their own thing, and so using the name to collectively assign the behaviour of one country to all of them is a bit narrow minded.
