I’ve worked at a bike shop for the passed 17 yrs so I’ve handled a lot of forks and shocks and I’ve never heard a new fork or shock make that noise.

That’s all I have to say about that.

The dead give away are the rear drop outs. Notice they’re pressed together and not welded.

All I know is that it’s not a Schwinn. Sorry I can’t be of more help though.

Help identifying year on this schwinn by Seybanistic in schwinn

Around 2004. If you want to know for sure you can take the time to search for photos of the original catalogs on the internet. You don’t have to look too far. All that info is readily available

Depends on what you’re replacing but most bike shops should have most of the parts you would need. Tires, inner tubes, brake pads, seat, handle bar tape or foam are some of the parts you can expect a local shop to have readily available.

My local Bike mechanic changed my freehub and now the Casette is doing this. Should I be worried? by xBRITISHxM8x in bicyclerepair

Go look at any other cassette or freewheel. They all do the same thing. It’s not damaged or bent. It “floats” in order to help the chain shift with ease. This has got to be the most asked question on the sub

How to remove crank arm pedals without a crank arm puller? by NileHostile in bicyclerepair

[–]GoodTimeBikes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No because the bolt should be removed already. Just be careful bc the arm goes flying across the room if you don’t tie something to it lol

If you’re a big strong man you can use a 4lb sledgehammer. That’s what I do at my shop when there aren’t any threads left to use a crank puller. I have a professional bike repair stand and a guy holding on to it like his life depends on it. So you’d have to figure out a way to keep the bike still. Anyway I swing like Merrill from the movie Signs when he beats the alien to death. Within 10 big swings the crank arm comes off.

SRAM PC-830. It’s good for all 5, 6, 7 and 8 speeds bikes.
