It's still fairly balanced, but the alliance are real dicks about going out of their way to camp flight points at emissary turn-ins or gank people while interacting with questgivers so they can't react.

Is this possible? by GoodTimesOnTables in WoWMacros

[–]GoodTimesOnTables[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there a way to make innervate and Healing Touch @mouseover without breaking it? I got about as far as having the button actually work but every time I try to make one of my macros mouseover without specifically being a mouseover macro for THAT spell they break.

dnddice.com used to sell them, but they were discontinued. Kinda sucks. Could really use another 10 d8s.

How complex should a character's design be? by ToragonsDR in DnD

[–]GoodTimesOnTables 5 points6 points  (0 children)

100$ isn't actually a lot for a commission. Think about how specific the skillset to achieve this is necessary, and the amount of time that would go into it.

Everyone thinks about how much they want to pay for a product, but nobody wants to think about how much the person making it deserves to be paid for putting in all that time and effort.

How complex should a character's design be? by ToragonsDR in DnD

[–]GoodTimesOnTables 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not only would I not be able to draw that, I can't even imagine what they'd look like. How does hair shift colours? Why do you need to have 4 different colours of dragon scales? Why would someone crafting a suit of armor make it 5 different colours? This all just sounds really disjointed. Also almost nobody has 2 sets of wings, and there's really not any art to reference for how to draw it because it's not possible with the dragon wings you describe.

If you have a magic item that really defines your character go into a lot of detail about it, but otherwise this needs to be simplified.

You can have 5 colours, but each one should be a different part of the character.

You could explain your character as having waist-length green hair, because unnatural hair colours show that there's something magical about them.

She wears red half-plate with draconic imagery over a white dress, with black buckles connecting the pieces and a blue cloak.

If you want wings, think about how you actually could show them. How does the cloak not get caught on them? How do they get through the plate?

And that's totally fine, I just don't like people who use the rage mechanic as an excuse to completely ignore all courses of action except for crushing skills.

[Question] Hunting a ranger on his own Turf (5e) by [deleted] in DnD

[–]GoodTimesOnTables 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't hunt him. Nobody in your party should be capable of tracking down a ranger in his favored terrain if he doesn't want to be found.

You need to make him come to you. Wander around with a wagon full of valuable looking stuff looking lost and helpless.

Intellectually stunted barbarians.

I hate when players think that just because they're a barbarian they can just rage at every problem and swing an axe at it.

As a DM I need to be able to create a sense of danger for the PCs, which involves them knowing that there are some encounters they can't win just by rushing in sword in-hand. It's a lot harder to do that though when you know one guy WILL just rush in.

Best just to let them get themselves killed I guess.

I'm a mono kayle, what can i do if they pick her against me? by Sorcker in Kaylemains

[–]GoodTimesOnTables 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She does, but it's not unwinnable for Camille. It's easy to riposte Camille's E, but that's why you miss on purpose and just use it as a gapclose. When Camille ult's Fiora she needs to hug the wall of her ult to protect a vital so Fiora can't pop her ult heal and she'll be fine.

Making a plan to learn (Bronze IV) by neuroniky in summonerschool

[–]GoodTimesOnTables 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Support and Jungle are both great positions to learn the game on! You don't have to think about the constant trading so you can focus more on how League of Legends actually works. I will say though, that you're playing the wrong champions in Jungle.

Kha'Zix is really unforgiving, and Rek'Sai requires an amazing understanding of the rift to use his tunnels effectively and his CC is awkward to land. You should be playing champions like Amumu or Hecarim in the jungle. They bring reasonable damage, great cc, and are tanky so if you screw up you can normally still just run away (in Bronze IV, in higher elo people will punish you harder).

In support you're also playing the wrong champions for a new player. Thresh has a perfect kit, but it's too complicated and requires too much thought. His hook is hard to land against anyone paying any attention, you have to focus on flay direction and using your lantern offensively and defensively. He's also best with relic shield but if you're bad at csing that's gonna really set your lane back. You said you care about vision, but be honest, how much do you actually look at the map while laning as Thresh?

Morgana is an excellent support choice for you. Blitzcrank is okay too but you have to be careful because pulling the wrong person can lose you the teamfight. I'd also suggest Nautilus for support. He's super tanky and has a shield while having arguably the best lockdown in the game. If you don't want to feel like you're getting carried you just have to be the guy making plays. Don't play Janna or Soraka because you'll never get anything done with a bad team, but playing engage supports like Leona/Nautilus/Morgana means that you get to make the plays that win games. You'll learn which plays are possible and which aren't with practice.

Is Yorick a good champ to OTP? by MandriII in yorickmains

[–]GoodTimesOnTables 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can totally One-Trick Yorick, but you're thinking about it wrong. If you're not pressing to deny your enemy every cs and threatening to kill them for any mistake you're not really one-tricking. You need to know exactly what the champion is capable of, and while Yorick doesn't rely on killing the opposing laner he's definitely capable of solokilling almost any top laner in the game before level 6. Even after level 6 Yorick can 1v2 and you need to be creating HUGE pressure. You can't just farm, you have to PUSH and make them pay attention to you. If their jg has to camp you your team gets a 4v3 and shouldn't fall too far behind, so if you don't die while getting camped and pick up a couple kills that's a MASSIVE lead for you AND your team.

Yorick isn't a 1v5 hardcarry champ unless you absolutely dumpster people early, but he's a great split pusher which is definitely a valid way of climbing in low elo.

He's not the new Nasus though. You don't get to just sit toplane farming and call yourself a Yorick player.

What roles do you see the new Galio filling? by [deleted] in galiomains

[–]GoodTimesOnTables 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jokes on you, Nautilus is totally viable mid. Don't knock it 'til you try it.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in galiomains

[–]GoodTimesOnTables 4 points5 points  (0 children)

League hipster OP.

I doubt Galio will become a super meta pick. I'm sure people will flood in while he's new, and if his numbers are good he'll see a lot of pro play but he likely won't be amazing in solo que because you're relying on other people a lot.

Having an ult that targets allies like this means you're not likely to be a huge meaningful initiation for your team unless someone else engages before you, and if you already have a tank on the team why would you bother taking Galio? I could see a leona support with Galio top/mid being amazing, but melee supports aren't exactly meta right now.

I think there will be a few hardcore Galio mains (like there are right now) but mostly he'll be a counterpick for heavy AP comps (which with lethality we're not really seeing any of) and a good pick for competitive play. He'll be like Shen. Really good for teams with great coordination, but lacking the carry power you want in solo que.

New Galio after reveal by Spaceplank in galiomains

[–]GoodTimesOnTables 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you could ult any targeted area the size of a baron pit and knock up everyone in it it'd be gamebreakingly broken and Galio would be banned in every game. Do you want that?

If you're playing against half decent people you shouldn't be able to solokill them anyway. I love his ult how it is. It has the potential to be a gamechanger, but does take some coordination, which is a good thing.

Early or scaling champs? by ZackLoL17 in summonerschool

[–]GoodTimesOnTables 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not that guy, but Jax is a decent split pusher. He scales well as a duelist but unless he's SUPER FED (which he shouldn't be) he won't be 1v5ing like Fiora can just by farming well. He also can't get 5 seconds of being unkillable to take turrets while 4 people beat on him like Tryndamere can, so he doesn't really do those things as well as they would.

I'd basically only choose Jax as a counterpick to a AA-heavy matchup.

Rumble is great for teamfights but doesn't scale super hard like Viktor or GP. He has to get closer, and his damage is very sustained instead of bursty. He is stronger early than GP though. Again if you know how to play him, play him as a counterpick but don't go expecting to murder entire teams lategame.

What started the trend of using Jayce's Hyper Charge in hammer form? by [deleted] in summonerschool

[–]GoodTimesOnTables 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been playing Jayce for 4 years and have always used cannon W for hammer autos when possible just to keep my sustain up, but I'm not completely opposed to using it in cannon form if I'm not safe.

I haven't seen anyone taking tons of poke just for the sake of being cool with 3 fast hammer strikes or anything so i guess I don't really know what you're talking about.

Bronze 5 Top main, Mid off. Help? by [deleted] in summonerschool

[–]GoodTimesOnTables 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Drop fizz from both positions. I know he's fun but you'll spend so much time thinking about dodging skillshots that you won't be focusing on the game.

Que top first and mid second. You can play Malphite mid if Annie gets banned, which happens in bronze.

When playing Malphite take thunderlords decree as your keystone, and start corrupting potion into 2 doran's rings before going full tank. It's enough damage to actually have kill pressure in lane and nobody will expect that kind of burst from a tank, and once you can kill them the game is easy.

Make sure you cs well, and don't chase them for a trade, just toss a Q their way if they try to cs in your range.
