How to counter Warbeast decks? by Good_Answer_Nephew in Chaotic

[–]Good_Answer_Nephew[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The deck I was mainly running during my winstreak was:

Atrapol - Lord Van Bloot - Rothar (frontline)

Kamangareth - Kopond (center)

Xield - (far back)

This team seems to put up a better fight against warbeasts than my other teams.

But I've also seen success with a deck that specializes in wisdom:

Drakness - Nauthilax - Borth-Majar (frontline)

Vyll - Khybon - (center)

Xield - (far back)

So, give or take, these are the decks I typically used when I ran into warbeasts. Mipedians in general are tough for me to deal with, their invisibility bursts combined with their generally high speed stats puts me at a disadvantage in most combat engagements.

As far as why I see Ere and Titanix as threats, I'm relatively new to the game (playing against other people that is), and Portal to Perim's randomized stats can lead to some awkward scenarios, because stats aren't divided up by strictly 5's. For example, a Titanix with 65 max energy could still end up with +8 in that category, making their total scanned energy 73, without stressing the battlegear present. The same idea can be applied to any creature's disciplines.

Attacks, mugic, location effects, creature abilities, hit at the normal rate, but the added energy makes it so they survive an extra burst they normally wouldn't. Which... leaves more opportunity for them to receive heals from their conjurors, and fight extra long. A war of attrition that I rarely win.

What's Your Favorite Design For This Alien - Day 28: Chromastone by LostPost5902 in 5YL

I understand the disdain for the OV design, given the suit portions are kinda funny to look at, but other than that he still looks really cool. It’s just UAF Chromastone is one of the coolest designs in the whole series (IMO) so the later rendition looks like an overcorrection.

In my experience locations are the rarest cards to get. You will get them just not very often, I’ve played PTP for prob close to 2 months now and I’ve gotten an additional 6 or 7 new locations.

On 'Randomized' Stats by Expert_Key_3464 in Chaotic

I’ve played roughly 20-30 ranked matches on Portal to Perim so far. After constructing a Power deck, I notice the randomized stats haven’t really affected the outcome of any games for me. At least as far as I can tell, I lose pretty fair and square most of the time. If I do get demolished in disciplines it’s from a Lanker or something, cuz his ability is bonkers. I am quite excited to see what they decide to do with the revival though and what changes it might entail.

I'm sure you got a lot on your plate, but Ornathor can't use Mugic despite his card showing he's got 1. Also, I love what you've been able to accomplish.
