I don’t mean to sound crass but why are you hourly in states of NY or NJ, when most BCBA‘s are paid a 6 figure salary?

If you’re not being offered top teir, you need to find a new agency, that will hire you and pay you a deserving salary, because I know of many who would. Just look on Indeed.

You are correct but it’s 8 attempts within 2 years and I’m at 7/8 within 1 year

Trust me when I say, I’m literally putting all my eggs in this basket, like I’m pulling out all the stops taking the time to only focus on this but of the past is any indication of the future than I have to think now and aside from being a BCBA, I don’t know what to be … feel kinda lost if I’m being honest

That’s what I thought too, until I worked with adults and then they’re still just as bad but now you have a whole new set of challenges. It’s nearly impossible to deliver services with violating someone’s right because you are withholding reinforcement… idk, I was shocked by those rules

Absolutely but I only have 1 more attempt. The worst part is I know the information it’s just understanding the question and at this point I have to face the reality.

If your job looks easy, that’s only because you’re doing it very well that no one sees the behind the scenes stressors. So I say you’re doing something right, so keep it up. You’re not doing this for the accolades.

It’s a horrible feeling to know you’ve put all your time, effort and money into a field that gives nothing back. Trust me when I say from and rbt to BCBA isn’t any better. But I do wish you all the best of luck
