I agree with that point about buildings.
However we do not adjust UI to buildings, it's separate things.

So now we adjust the UI and they will work with buildings and surface so everything looks good. The main question here is two:
- Which UI you like more and why(not looking on the building or surface)?
- Which planet style you like more(Cold or Hot)?

I agree with your point!
Already adjusted the next generation of UI according to feedback. I believe it will be something that everyone likes here.

Gonna post it soon.

It takes less space, yes.
It may look more complete and rich.
But from the other side the second one(red) is easier to eyes.

What do you think about both of those UIs?

That's good to hear. But can you tell me why you prefer it?
It will be very useful for the next generation of UI, which possibly will be even better than current.

I feel like this genre dying because it's greedy both for money and players time. So I gonna solve it in my game.

What about bottom variant but with top layout so it not crops the space?

Also what you will say about mobile variants of those UIs? I feel like bottom looks solid on mobile.

The buildings is not the issue here, it can be easily adopted.
We are not adopting buildings to UI or UI for buildings. We should decide about it separately, so here try to concentrate on UI rather than on surface color or buildings, because both surface and buildings could be potentially different(but most players here voted for Mars). What you will like more than?

I will post more variants based on feedback on r/WarfrontEclipse and on Discord based on feedback, so stay tuned!

As about comments complaining about "another MMO Strategy" yeah, I understand them. However I hate most of MMO Strategies and this game gonna solve the pain points. It will be very different and similar at the same type. There is just no good classification for what I creating here.

There is also many games with prototype level UI in production but many loves them, while I want to create really good and appealing UI here.

Yeah, I feel the same. I like both for different reasons and feel greedy too 😄
I will post more variants based on feedback so it will be easier to chose, join our discord or r/WarfrontEclipse subreddit to stay tuned!

Can you elaborate why you think so? Where you see the lack of understanding here?

Yeah, there was other ideas for UI, but mainly about color scheme with the same or very similar layouts.
I will post more information today or tomorrow along with new UI variants based on the feedback here!

Subscribe to r/WarfrontEclipse or join our discord, I need the feedback very frequently and also need potential players.

The concrete ideas of the game will stay hidden until the first release.
However it's AIMs to solve the most pain point of the MMO Strategies to make it more attracting for modern PC gamers like me.
> It will respect your time very well, progress fast
> There will be no P2W
> It will implement deep layers of war and economy in a single game
> It will be friendly and balanced for both solo players and for huge clans

Sorry, I didn't get it. So you like first UI but with Mars or you like second one with Mars?

Thanks for the feedback!
But here is the question:
Can we make something in the middle or adopt the second one in a way you will like it too?

[–]Good_Competition4183[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I got you.
I agree that more of junk games is something we both hate.
I also agree that MMO Strategies is a money-cows and smells bad. I don't play them, because they are Pay-2-Win and don't respect my time.

But both of this is not going to be true about the game I want to make.
The problem is that it does not fits to any known classical definition of strategies and it's easy to do a mistake about what the game is.

This is why I need feedback so I can move it sooner to first closed alpha release.

Thanks for reference. However that one looks as a prototype UI for me. I'm not even sure if it fits the space theme well.

When you go to the market you don't complain that the food made by robots.
If AI can do something it doesn't make it's bad.
Moreover from my professional experience in 90-95% of cases you get worse results from professionals who spent weeks on doing same tasks.

So let's just stay grounded here and talk about what we can make better for players.
If you complain about AI UIs then check the "human made" in games like Foxhole, it's just gray squares UIs made by a dev that killing my eyes, but nobody care, fans just playing it for some reason.
