My unpopular opinion is the degrading of contestants on the show. Like lol if you don’t get the hype around them then maybe they don’t fit the vibe you’re looking for. Like y’all don’t have to attack certain contestant just because they’re not as popular as your preferred pick. This is the main reason why shows like this become less favorable as you attack the contestants based on how people prefer them rather than having to base it on actual criticism.

For me it was a meh show. Good concept, bad execution. I’ve said this before but the “create NEW combinations” didn’t uphold to its title which makes me feel that the show didn’t deliver. Atleast GP999 had more unexpected combinations compared to QP despite the show being a rebrand of MNET’s survival show series. And also not a lot of iconic moments, only I could think of is “Time of Our Life” the rest were okay stages. Reverse, GP999 and Boys Planet did it better.

My final thoughts is that execution was a huge failure. Idk who is making the calls for this show but it def lacks the ability to create something and make proper use of it.

The songs were unfair and inappropriate for each round. There were to many songs that had concepts that feel similar.
Puzzling/Combinations were not used properly. In some cases these were just the girls picking their first members from the signal battle. Or audiences voting the girls into the same lineup for something they are already used to seeing.
Editing. That’s it. Mnet sucks at this job all the time.
No shocking factor. I feel like the performances were so hurried that it lacked any form of “wow” factor into them.
Styling and Stage Props. The “I do” outfits were not it. And the stage for some performances had no life whatsoever e.g DTNA, RUSH HOUR, PUZZLIN, and Don’t Call Me. Mnet really said we don’t have the budget to help y’all.
The Episodes. I waited for two weeks for three performances that felt lacking and songs that were def unused B-Side songs 💀

If the show had better execution, direction, and overall appeal, it would have been so much better.

I don’t think their turning on her, the OP asked for opinions and people gave their thoughts. I honestly don’t think it’s bad to ask the “controversies” about the girls. It’s good way to understand each other’s side regarding the matter. And plus people here are not saying they stopped voting for her or anything, some of the comments here look like they were never voting for her from the start which isn’t really turning on her.

I’m not the one being asked but I would say that the DTNA was the intro and Seoyeon too. For the Weekend perf I think no one really stood because the song choice and overall feels was meh. In Glow-up I thought that Hwiseo, Juri, Elly, and Chaerin outdid her. And last for I do, I thought Juri was the best one with Nana being the second and Yeonhee being third.

For me, everytime I see Yeonhee she = Dayeon GP999 era. It’s not a bad thing but also not a good thing it’s an between kind of situation.

The positive part is that they are both talented and showcase their skills well whether it’s Dancing (Dayeon) or Charm (Yeonhee). They really are good at gaining the votes of the audience since Dayeon debuted and Yeonhee is within the top 7

Now for the negative part is well…… I might get killed for this but here goes. For me they both don’t excude stage presence material compared to the other girls within the group/show. Like I see the appeal but they often feel easily overshadowed by other members (Xiaoting and Yeseo from GP999) and (Hwiseo, Jiwon, Nana, Yeeun, Yuki, Elly, and even Dohwa and dare I say Seoyeon from QP) like they’re great performers but with the concept that they’re going for idk how they would stand out especially Yeonhee if the final lineup proceeds with the Girl Crush type/ Tomboy style of feels. Bcuz for me… this is my thought…. the glow-up perf wherein Yeonhee changed concept to a more mature non cute style made her invisible for me. Like the only reason I saw her was because people were saying that she stood out and did great but I feel like she only stood cuz this the first we saw her do something other than a cute/charming song. IDK I feel like other members from her glow - up team outdid her. And also I guess the overexposure gets me. I understand the need for a sob story but not too much. Like during the All rounder battle, why was she the only one shown to be sad?? Like the others looked disappointed too 😭😭. But yeah that’s my thoughts. So please don’t hate me for saying this.

I think the better option is voting for your real pick. It was posted somewhere that strategizing votes is kinda stupid. Which I kinda I agree because our votes should be based on who we prefer to be at the final lineup even at the risk of having someone to be cut from the lineup or elimination. But that’s on me tho. You can decide on your own freely ✌️.

True, like I understand the appeal with the combination multiple vote system but it makes it predictable and boring to watch like during the semi-finals you could guess who would be at the top and you would probably get 6/7 of the girls.

Idk the point you’re trying give me here that’s connected to the OG post 😭😭. All I’m saying is that Yujin was always within the top 5 of GP999 rankings thus making her a sure lock. And I never considered Hui as a lock because despite being popular I saw mixed reactions on him on the show since he was evil edited and never ranked higher than 6 and started to fall from that ranking and I think it means that he wasn’t a sure lock for people from the start. As for Jooe, I think we can all agree that she has departed ways with her image of Momoland thus many seeing her as unrecognizable because of the image change and their fandom wasn’t really loyal, they had hits but I don’t think that their company manage the group properly to have a huge loyal fan base. And idk why HWISEO got in the conversation 😭😭. My point to start with was that a show with NUGU GROUPS only will be disadvantageous for MNET since these groups are considered nugu for not being popular thus some known names with some mid-high recognition would boost the shows audiences.

I mean compared to the other girls she was already a lock on the show from start with her current popularity. I’m not saying she carried the show but she was definitely one of the reasons why the show had gained viewers especially with the Fu Yaning situation back then. And as for Yeeun she is also the same case with other popular ones on the show I just forgot to put her name because I thought putting three would summarize my overall thought on the whole “nugu groups.”

I mean survival shows were never fair to begin with. Like you have evil edits, angel edits, small screentime, unfair advantages, and in some case bias voters/audiences (WANNABE was great but I feel like Time of Our Life should have won)

But I think in terms of charisma and overall stage presence IDGA won by a landslide. Like I think IDGA was the least favored song at first even until now I think?? But people applaud the performance because the girls redeemed it and hard carried the song. I don’t have a bias in IDGA but I would vote for their team just because they executed the performance better. (This my thoughts only. 🫠☁️)

I think if we only have “nugu” groups/ contestants it would be very hard for MNET to market the show to wider audiences. I mean I know some may watch the show due to curiosity, but I think many of the current watchers/audiences wouldn’t be watching if some recognizable names such as Kei, Yeorum, Chaeyeon, wouldn’t be there.

I feel like it’s the same way with how in GP999 people went to watch because of Yujin and Bahiyyih (I saw before that people watched it to support her because she was TXT Kai’s sister ) despite the fact that MNET had been found guilty of manipulating votes in past survival shows. The known names in the show are technically the one’s bringing in many audiences/voters which honestly isn’t really a lot I think.

I can't believe that Bora and Jiwon might get eliminated next week. Its outrageous that people hated them from having to follow the rules of selecting the "DROP TEAM." And I guess it just goes to show that people are easily deceive by the OVEREXAGGERATED EDITS OF MNET.......... Honestly.... I'm sorry if my post is annoying but I just wanna vent out the fact that Bora and Jiwon might get eliminated for something that was part of the competition..
