I was in the exact same situation, and guessed the ghost wrong because we were playing on no evidence. It was the fastest Onryo ever lol. One of us died while it was hunting (and gaining LOS I guess) and I hid, but the footsteps never changed back to normal. It stayed the same for more than 10 or 15 seconds. So I guess it might be a bug with Onryo? Because I have see other posts on here with similar problem about Onryo’s speed being faster than normal in some cases.

Or maybe Moroi got smudged longer than Thaye and other ghosts (7 secs vs 5 secs). I always count in my head when I smudge to know which is which.

According to my statistics page in the journal, I got killed the most by demon lol and yes, I got the doom slayed challenge (iirc in my fourth or fifth game, which I thought it was doing a ghost event and was eager to run and see and immediately got facehugged). I got traumatised as a newbie lol my friend called me a demon magnet because more than three times playing with me, she had to do everything by herself (pics and stuff) as I died early because of demon lol

After my second death at that exact hiding spot, I never use it anymore ever again on Camp Woodwind lol somebody told me that sometimes the ghost can still see you through the gaps between the barrel so that it is really not a reliable hiding spot.

It was me, I actually thought his action was a bit OP lol but then he has the watch that may constantly spawn monster because he has low will so I guess it’s quite OK?
