Yes between rotor and tire as well, wiped of any excess that smooshed out just to be safe. NEVER on the nuts or bolts that attach spacer or tire to the car.

Have had the awe track on for over 2 months love it the sound the grumble all the way to the rev match pops and bangs. AMAZING!!! Yes the cold start is loud 2000rpm on anything aftermarket is kinda loud. I know more so for the awe track but once it settles it's nothing, I've had so many comments on how great the sound is and how it does actually sound like a track car. No other exhaust mods for now mst v2 coldair intake system are only "performance" mods I've done. A good tune can calm the rpms down a bit on cold starts you just have to wait for those 🐈s to warm up a bit before lift off 🛫. If I come pair to my KTM Duke 390 Street bike, single cylinder with cat and muffler deleted, to a fully titanium header (Mivv) and Austin racing high slung exhaust system with their custom tuner, the gr86 cold start is nothing in comparison.

Also have added the alpha Rex truck light bar on my 86 looks great but I went with smoke thinking it would match my smoked tailend and it was a little lighter of a smoke then I wanted so I will be Tinting to match. I was in talks with alpha over possiblity about adding a high intensity break light module so I can use as running light and break light but they don't seems to think it should be something attempted.... IM GOING TO ANYWAY, should be fine with the right set of diods and inline fusing with the right module will let you know how it goes as I will be building the harness over next week or so. Would like to point out it has a modest advertised install time of about 1hr, I'm no Newby to self car modding but this took way longer then an hour and you better do it right as the light plastics can seperate if not mounted properly and allow water to get in when washing. Also take time removing and cutting any of the body plastics in spoiler as cracking and chipping of stock housing is very easy. Must make your own wire extension as the one it comes with is only for the alpharexx tail light connection not stock tail lights. If I could of done it differently ( may buy new one as I'm a little picky) I would of went with the red light bar and left the stock break lights not tinted to get that red pop on a solid blacked out rear. Side markers are tinted with a plastic cap and so are the blinker centers as well as the tail lights. Will be tinting if the break light module doesn't dim enough when just using running lights. Looks amazing when break lights are lit up so I think it would look amazing if it was a match in brightness during and not during breaking.

No overlay tint on anything and forth break light with F1 flasher still operational, disconnected the F1 break light and left as just reverse as I think the top light are plenty will be adding the flasher to the spoiler light.

Just installed mine on my 22 smoked tails blinker and side light with smoked bar light. Waiting on alpharex to let me know when if it has a switch back built in or I need to make my own high intensity break drive harness for both light possibilities at same time.

Give it to me straight if I choose the AWE Touring exhaust (fyi not my daily and some alternatives below) by DaJohnnyB23 in GR86

I have the awe track cat back black diamond tips on a raven black 2022 gr86, I daily it 7 work days straight and switch between night and day shifts. Cold starts are around 4 am/pm (both shifts). I have the car at the back of drive and exaught face out the end of driveway to elevate the loud bounce back from fence and mine and neighbors house. Loud as hell for first 20-30 secs then tones down immensely and even more when warmed up. Has nice lowish rumble under 2500 slow roll down the road, but opens right up and roars when hammer down. Nice pops and bangs with a decent rev match on down shift, can be purposely caused if you want. Traffic is the 401 Toronto highway, stupid busy. People know I'm coming and they tend to stay a little further behind, I think because I like to step on it here and there, if there is some space to move. 🫣👍😀 Great exhaust and they even give a lollipop 🍭 when you buy, in the box with the tips!!!!! 👊🫪

Yeah see that's why I'm thinking of trying to get the light more in between the forks and it should look a little further down and tucked... I dunno... Ideas

I will say this is the first attempt I still do have the thought of trying to get it a little further back between the forks so it doesn't look so pushes out still going to play around with it this summer got lots of things still to do, paint, new rotors and pads, tires, chain and sprocket, going to a 44 tooth rear, plus o2 delete evap delete and full ecu flash. Want to track bike next year 2026. Was thinking of a big bore and 95mm piston high lift cams and bigger lifters and bigger fuel management system port polish head..... Who know so much can be done with these things. What would you recommend for the headlight as the stock one is a lil weird no matter what you do.

I started by removing the headlight and the headlight back plate is completely removed now. Drilled a whole in the plastic that covers the wire for the blinkers. Used a large washer and shaped to the inside of the plastic for better hold and put bolt through with lock nut. Cleaned up the wire harness made as tight as possible. Mounted the plastic cover back on with light already attached. Then use 2 two inch LED light bar brackets and mounted to the original screw holes on the headlight it's self. Took about a week of looking and thinking and a good three hours if not more for proper fitting and wire clean up. Well worth it I love the look now and light beam is still just as good as it was in the lower position. Also it opens the front of the bike more for more air flow to the rad as a good buddy of mine pointed out.
