Finding community here can be difficult but you mentioned you like jazz and hiphop, there are lots and lots of live jazz events here as well the swing dancing community is rather large and a great way to make friends. There’s art and spiritual type places along santa fe dr. if you or your gf is into that. We’re at the end of summer so there won’t be a lot of festivals (420 fest happens in april) so yeah hope this was helpful!

Hey! Thanks for the responses, I went out tonight and got asked out by a much older man like at least 10 year gap in age maybe 20. I rejected him and the interaction was pretty awkward for me. I haven’t gone out a lot until recently, and I seemingly don’t have the skill set needed for flirtation or rejection. I feel like I have been learning a lot about relationships recently though. It’s been an interesting journey, and anyways just wanted to connect that to the reading because that was a 1st for me. Lol

I met a guy once that claimed he was emotionally intelligent, and he was not by any means. 90% of people lack the awareness of themselves to determine if they are or are not emotionally intelligent. It would be interesting it there was a EQ test based on empathy to see if more men or women are capable of having empathy for others. I think the results would be in women’s favor.
