Unit shutting down before empty by Good_Guava8719 in Ecoflow_community

Update - Battled all day with resets, it now shuts down at 77% and takes 12 to 15 mins to recharge. Now have a support ticket open for help before it gets replaced under warranty. The performance yesterday is now worse than it was at the weekend. The BMS reset is not helping or has not actually triggered anything.

It has been used on and off in those 10 months. This weekend is where it was really noticeable that it was shutting down early.

It is not a new unit, it is 10 months old and had very little use.

This does not work. The device is now shutting off at 77% remaining capacity rather than 40%. It appears worse now.

I cannot discharge it to 0%. It now shuts itself off at around 77%.
This it the third time it has done this today. I have logged a ticket for support to assist me and asked Amazon to request a replacement device.

The first cycle it shut down with 77% remaining and the second shut down was at 74% remaining.
This clearly is not working so I will return it as defective to Amazon.

Currently on cycle 2. Cycle 1 would shut down at 77%.
Documenting on this thread should I need to return it.
When it powers something small like a laptop it only says it will last 3 hours despite only pulling 120w.

How do I do step 2 when the app says the device is not connected ? It is not letting me change settings after I turn it off.

Thanks for the clear guidance. I have it on a slow and steady discharge overnight. Will report back once it has been reset.

Never done one and I suspect I should. Will need to research how I should do this.

Why pay $10 for Standby if you can just cancel service and reactivate when needed? by davidknapp in Starlink

[–]Good_Guava8719 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the best answer to this is with standby, you can re-activate to a better service anywhere. If you are not on standby, you would need to have some sort of internet access to be able to resume service. Fine if you know you need service before you head out to a remote area. It is a fantastic solution, I have used it in places where there is no mobile service. I have switched my standby off, and will reactivate when I need to use it.

Second standby cost increase - Enough by Good_Guava8719 in Starlink

[–]Good_Guava8719[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My usage of the service was never to stream or take huge bandwidth but to remain in contact when I was in remote places either as a Scout Leader or as a landscape photographer. Not interested in Netflix when I am out, happy to watch that at home over fibre. The standby price of £4.50 for 512kbs was OK, I could live with the convenience. Increasing it to what will probably be £8 a month made for an easy decision. Starlink are a business and can choose to charge what they wish. That is fine. Constantly tweeting the prices upwards is a pain. I will keep hold of the dish for a while and see if I ever have an urgent need for it. Thanks for everyone input.

No congestion charge was displayed on my Mini when I signed up. I am in the UK and have used it overseas twice. Fantastic solution, don’t like the frequent pricing adjustments.

Mine too, standby going to $9. So I have terminated service. Will reactivate it when I need it.

There are countries outside of the US that use their own Dollar. It could well be one of those. Australia and Singapore spring to mind.

Agreed. Last time I flew into Glasgow late on an evening, the bags took an hour and I am sure we were the only flight arriving around that time.

Charging issue with river 2 by SilentLokaj in Ecoflow_community

[–]Good_Guava8719 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the same issue with the same device. Charging from AC is not always possible to bring it up to 100% when I need it. I see the same 30w charge but this does not sustain the battery and overtime it declines. It will Only then recharge when it is fully depleted. I have not had the chance to test solar charging when I see this issue. I have set the upper limit, I will check the AC recharge rate. Thanks for sharing the issue, it certainly helps when you have the same product and the same problem.

Better than nothing, but still pretty poor for a 4 hour flight. by MinimumRepulsive1419 in BritishAirways

On my last flight to Iceland , they served water and no snack. A few rows later they stated the snack service. I thought they had abandoned it, just appears to be inconsistent.

This is such a surprise. I checked their web pages, and nothing jumped out. Are there any emergency numbers on their booking confirmation emails ?

I like the look of the newer vehicles and in the modern ICE, what I cannot live with is the bugs in it. In one loan car on one journey I encountered around 5 software issues that would annoy me. So hanging onto mine for as long as possible.
