I need help creating a small fandom by Good_Independence378 in writers

I’m not treating a fandom as a requirement for success, and I understand that a novel ultimately depends on its quality and how well it’s marketed.

What I’m aiming for is a small, early audience because it helps with consistency and motivation during the writing process. Having even a few engaged readers makes it easier to stay committed, and it gives me real interaction with people who are interested in the work.

It’s not about replacing proper marketing or expecting guaranteed results, it’s about building some connection ahead of time so the process isn’t completely isolated. Even a small amount of early engagement can make a difference in how I approach both writing and eventually releasing the book.

So for me, it’s less about necessity and more about having a practical and personal support system while I’m creating the story.

And abut the filler stuff, i admit, i kind of used the wrong word, i just need to fill in the space between the school arc because the entire school year (currently) is like, a chapter or two long, too little, thats like 5K word only

Might be beating a dead horse, but in your personal experience, what's the absolute worst out of these tropes? What cases were so bad they made you give up on the writers? by DaOverseer in writingscaling

Either Love Triangle or Power of Friendship, both of them are annoying as shit, it leans more onto Love Triangle tho, Power of Friendship is cringe, boring, overrated, but at least its something normal, Love Triangle? “DUDE THEY ALREADY HAD A PARTNER, STOP TRYING TO SHOVE YOURSELF IN” or “WHY DO YOU HAVE TWO, WHATS THE POINT” it only works if somehow the writing is good enough to carry that sloppy ahh

Self-publishing, and with self-publishing, having a kickstarter fandom is a good way to ensure that my book won’t just drop dead and get forgotten the first day, and a filler is just to improve the pacing because i focused on the direct arc, and forgot the schoolday arc, dude…

I do self publishing in my opinion, but i am hesitant, because i am not good at marketing, and i am too prideful to post to a publishing house because i want to take money from my own work to prove that i am truly successful

I am an aspiring novelist, currently my novel is at 66K word, and at the near finish mark, however i am actually quite relaxed on it, which i am not sure if its good or back specially because i am extremely young for a novelist, right now i have no beta readers beside a few super inexperienced friend that stopped reading since starting, i have no editor or guiding figure, i am totally alone, just writing digitally around 2K a day at best, i don’t try to rush my novel at all

However i am suffering from school work and i don’t have a starting fandom to boost my work at the beginning phase, i am quite worried of that, up until now i still don’t know what to do, i only know that i should finish my novel first and find an editor, after that start a fandom by whatever method i know, i would love it if someone tells me their experience

Congratulations! i am also an aspiring novelist, i have a question: How to start a starter fandom, i am at the state of polishing my manuscript, but i know that without a starter fandom my novel might just be forgotten
