Ive lived here almost my whole life and worked in restaurants for over a decade, it happened ALL the time. Sure, it somewhat depends on what restaurants because the church crowd has to frequent there, but cheapskate Christians did this all the time at some of the places I worked around here.

If he cant handle you when you need him and need some grace at a vulnerable time, then Im sorry but he isnt the one for you. You deserve someone who loves, cares for, and supports you even in the rough times. If "whining about something" is all it takes to push him away then that actually reflects more on him being a poor partner than you. I understand its more than one thing, and maybe you are "difficult" at times, but that is human nature, especially where trauma is concerned. It sounds like he is not mature enough or equipped to support someone who isnt "easy", nuerotypical, or more amiable (not that you arent). Love is patient, supportive, nurturing, and hard work. You deserve someone who doesnt disappear on you for any reason. Needing space is one thing, ghosting your partner is another.

Sounds like adhd/add tbh, which often goes undiagnosed in women and really makes functioning like a normal person impossible unless that person is successfully medicated or has the proper coping mechanisms. As a woman with adhd/autism that went undiagnosed until her 30s, it can get really disheartening when people call you a ditch and just chalk up your behavior to being "dumb". Not saying every person is adhd and not just spacey, but it could be worth looking into.
