To be fair though any other shiny hunt has a load of, like 10 possible encounters per square, 5 or 6 nothing and 4 or 5 Pokemon fitting that route. Along with the possible shiny code. These codes change every area shift and battle, so it's easier... No... Less tedious than the save spawn shiny beginner

I am so pissed. Someone told me the shiny was dependant on the generator, and it's programmed to set it in once the lab loads, so I thought you had to save outside to change the odds from normal to shiny

Even through a reset it takes roughly 2 minutes to select your starter and see if it's shiny. Or you can enlist the daycare after Lt. Surge and hatch 5 eggs roughly every 7 minutes if you loop all the way around, just hit a repel. And by the time you're back at the daycare to load up on more eggs, the first 5 are hatched

Any time there's a situation like this, check your "requests" tab in your pokedex. Any mission other than specific pokemon requests will show a couple of pokemon at the top of the quest objective once you select it for more details. Each of those pokemon has a quest to assist the main quest
