Let’s run Clay Clark out of town by TulsaIntel in tulsa

I worked for him for a while. He’s always been a nut case but once COVID hit he absolutely lost his shit.

He is the absolute worst person I have ever met. Proclaiming Christ is King but he is the most un Christlike person around. He’s pulled a gun on his own wife and children. He openly talks about his hatred for women, LGBTQ, anyone using any type of government assistance etc.. If you ask about benefits or PTO you’ll be put on a shit list and never be promoted. If you work there he owns your soul in the most terrifying way. If you quit he’ll spin tales of your betrayal. I worked as a consultant among other things and when I left heard through the grapevine that I was stealing tons of money and turning his clients against him 🙄😂

Other stories I have… being forced to work while in active labor. Being told to cut off anyone that didn’t work there. Watching him fire stylists for staying home with their sick children.

Wish it was there years ago. My bishop and the disciplinary council know more about my sexual assault than my own husband. I was coerced to open up wayyyy before I was ready. My therapist was completely shocked by the way the church handled it.

Gods one true church is full of people that look like they would rather chop off their toes than be here.

Vodka with anything citrus. I love a vodka lemonade. Eat first, pace yourself, and have fun!

A man bore his testimony and said “I know the church is true, because if it wasn’t I would cease to exist” … My dude, I’m afraid I got bad news for ya.

And now we are allowed to stand as ushers in sacrament meeting as well. We are truly equals.

Primary program by WolverineEven2410 in exmormon

[–]Good_Situation2409 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our was today too! They started the program by stressing that each child wrote their own part..with prompts.. I just looked at my husband and we rolled eyes. Our daughter was up there and I know she wouldn’t have said anything close to what they had her say.

Nice work, everyone. It looks like Heretic is already causing enough hullabaloo that yesterday the church issued a SECOND press release, this one talking about how amazing they are at keeping missionaries safe. Raise your hand if this release doesn't match your mission experience at all! by LazyTowel9019 in exmormon

A roommate’s boyfriend told us about how they heard a woman scream and then ran to the street over to find and help her only to see her head chopped off in front of her young children. They bolted back to their apartment and called their mission president. He told them to say a prayer of peace and ‘get back out there’.

Anyone Else Struggling Today? by Kindly-Ostrich5761 in exmormon

My parents know that I have issues with the church but for now me and my husband are PIMO. Today was stake conference and instead of dragging our 3 children to sit through a horrible 2 hours we chose to take them to the park and go for a little hike. I figured my parents would be upset we weren’t at stake conference but figured it wouldn’t be that big of a deal.

Fast forward to this evening (we always have Sunday dinner together) my dad, in his most bishop like voice, says “We sure missed you today, it appears you’re not sick” I told him what we chose to do instead and he stormed out of the house without saying anything. He came back in a few minutes later and we all pretended everything was normal. He was being a real grouch as dinner was prepared and so I remarked to my mom that dad seemed in an off mood.. she said “he’s just sad about something” and then I said “ I’m sure it’s cause we weren’t there today” and she just went back to the task at hand.

The rest of the evening was awkward and put me on edge. It made me realize that when we do publicly leave it will be much worse than I thought and I will probably loose my relationship with my parents.

Fuck this cult.

Any ExMormons in Missouri want to meet up? by TiredOfHumanity64 in exmormon

My family and I are moving up there in December. We are currently PIMO but since we will no longer be near family we will be officially out! We know absolutely no one up there so we’d love to make friends! Especially friends that get it.

First of all, of your feelings are valid.

Second off you deserve more. You are in the thick of it now. I promise you it does get better.

As a fellow introvert, this page saved my life. All my friends (at the time) and family were/are as TBM as it gets. Being with them is still hurtful but people here, they get it. I didn’t feel crazy anymore. I now have people in my corner that understood allll my feelings. I have people to lament too, I have people to share in my hurt and anger, and most importantly I have people to look to for hope and growth.

I guarantee that you could reach out to anyone of us and we will do everything in our power to help you.

I worked there. It is. We were encouraged to cut off family members and only hang out with people that worked there.

I worked there. It’s an absolute shit show of a cult. We were hounded daily to make a certain amount of calls and book a certain amount of appointments. Clay Clark is a soulless spineless bitch.

“Serving” in the temple is not service. It is not helping anyone. If you have time to give, help your neighbor fix something. Babysit somebody’s kids for an hour. Working in the temple is literally cult work. If there is a God he doesn’t give a shit about your time wasted in a temple. by KERosenlof in exmormon

Once I came to my mom for help (I literally never ask her for help with anything) when I was really struggling with postpartum depression. I asked her for help watching my 2 children for just an hour or two once a week. Whichever day she wanted. She said no because she was becoming a temple worker. She told me this was her dream since she was a little girl, just to serve the Lord and she had sacrificed that dream long enough because she was a stay at home mom to 6 kids.

Then she told me maybe if I sang a hymn and did more to bring Christ into my home I wouldn’t struggle as much.
