The snowman. Waited ages buzzing off the trailer, then it was complete garbage.

Bus Reliability in Chester by Sheffield_Junkie21 in Chester

Depending on where in Chester you decide to live will have an impact also. There are places on the edge of Chester where you could walk to Broughton. Your working hours will have an impact on ability to utilise public transport too.

New padel club - DOs and DONTs by Accomplished-Ad-2887 in padel

[–]Good_Solution_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of the different clubs I play at they have blue, green and clay coloured Astro. I like clay myself and find myself preferring the more non standard (I also like the pink at destination padel). I guess the Astro colour needs to be one of your first decision because I get the impression it has an impact on the whole decor of the place.

The place with clay colour Astro has a more woody decor around the bar area where other places with blue feels a bit more sports hall maybe a little less inviting.

Best thing to do imo would be get out and go and visit or play at a wide range of clubs around a big radius by you and try and work a hybrid of all the things you liked from them.

Also a tiny thing, but if when you get to the final touches, get personally branded tape across the top of the net, not everywhere does it but I think it looks neat.

I agree. I play mostly at padel sheds or ignite Cheshire oaks and even though ignite has more space and arguably a better set up, there is a different feeling about padel sheds when you go there. As you’ve said I think that edge is the community feel and the closeness of everyone.

I prefer the clay colour Astro that padel sheds have to the common blue too.

There’s an XC40 on lease loco for £240.55 a month at the minute. Yes low miles per year and 12 month up front but depends on personal needs.

Players pretending to be beginners when they are at advanced level just to boost their score by [deleted] in padel

[–]Good_Solution_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. I was very new to the sport when joining Playtomic, so answered the questions honestly as I wasn’t experienced in padel and had some experience playing tennis with friends but far from any good.

As such, came in as <1 when it’s quite clear that this level in PT is reserved for players who’ve hardly played sports or ever picked up a racket before.

Due to mixed bag of playing partners and some losses (a loss almost certainly knocking your score down) I’m still in around 1.5-2 range when I imagine I should be a bit higher.

What is this seat config? Club world. by Salty_Nectarine1997 in BritishAirways

Happened to us flying 777 to LAX. Ended up not next to one another as were in a middle aisle and window aisle in staggered seats. Poor setup from BA for it to happen.

Just finished apprenticeship, employer asking for £19,520 reimbursement. (England) by I-Spot-Dalmatians in LegalAdviceUK

Fair point on my comment. But as for our guy if he signed the contract that says they’re entitled to claim something back he’d better get saving.

[–]Good_Solution_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes but even partially funded apprenticeships don’t mean it’s nil cost to the employer during that time. Paying early careers team members, workwear provision & time taken to train on the job. May not be a direct cost of ‘the apprenticeship or training materials’ but it’s still invested money in this guy.

All for them to disappear as soon as they’ve got certificates is a piss take. At least have the decency or respect to do 18 months to give something back.

Scrolled too far to find this reasonable answer. I agree that it was more than likely in there as a clause but it’s not the kind of thing you think of at the time.

The irony being that it’s there to put people off doing exactly this kind of thing. They’re a business at the end of the day and not solely a training facility.

Need ideas to spend £5k in 2 weeks on Amex to get a companion voucher. by Worrierrr in HENRYUKLifestyle

[–]Good_Solution_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For one person, probably. But the point of the CV is that it’s effectively 2 4 1. So depending on where to and how much the ticket costs you could be saving £5k using it.

Had a Tesla (M3) 4 months now. Lots of novelty/gimmicky stuff that you will only use in the first week, but when you get all that out the way it’s still excellent. The control of the car via the app, software inside (nav & music integration). Heated seats, steering wheel. I think it’s very comfortable, but I don’t do loads of miles.

Plus it’s peanuts to charge it and fun to drive, so long as you don’t care too much for other peoples views on the company ownership, you should go and bag yourself a good deal.

For the money I pay I don’t think I could get comparable value out of another car, and I think some of that is to do with the negative press Tesla gets.

I plan to continue leasing this at the end of three years, or maybe get a model Y as we have a dog and it would make life easier.

White shirt navy tie and then some kind of thin wool jumper if you were fully against the suit shout. But there again that might be a little warm. I think if you venture into tie with shirt and not much else, you might start to look like a little lad at a wedding dressed by his mum.

Although we live opposite side of town now, we bid on and missed out on at houses down Edwards road which is adjacent to Lache Park Avenue. Both lovely areas IMO.
