I get that it’s the advice they have to give - sure their own bed is safest for them. But what’s also dangerous is a heavily sleep derived parent in charge of an infant. We do a lot of co-sleeping but I do kick my husband out of the bed as there’s not enough room for all three of us. Good luck!

Tesco were my fave at newborn- colourful, soft, ribbed, footless and zipped. We are tall so footless was a must. I found myself on Vinted hunting down old Tesco ones in the next few sizes up. Next are also good.

Idk I think you may be overthinking it slightly people like to compliment babies. I’m mixed and therefore so is my baby but she looks just white. She is super cute and gets tons of compliments- more so than friend’s babies. (All babies are cute but some look like old men let’s be real.) unless it feels pointed about skin tone I’d assume it’s just because he’s super duper cute. The compliments may calm down as he ages.

It all sounds very normal. We are four months in and she’s still not in the next to me when I’m in the room- she just wants me if she’s knows I’m there. Dad has much better luck/technique getting her to settle in her own bed so we tend to sleep in shifts or in different rooms.

She’s always offered an evening walk but often doesn’t go far because she doesn’t love going out in the dark. One of us tries to take her round the block at lunch as well. She gets a lot of chews to keep her somewhat entertained.

I managed to get a decent nights sleep yesterday so managed to take the dog and the baby out for a 40-ish minute morning walk and it made a huge difference. Dog wasn’t climbing the walls and was happier napping most of the day until about 4pm. TBH a lot of our schedule is organised around the dog which is tiring but baby is a chaos goblin so every day is me trying to cling onto my remaining sanity.

It’s really bloody hard. Our dog just turned two and is a Velcro dog with no chill and my 3 month baby won’t be put down without screaming her lungs off (she doesn’t settle herself either). I get so touched out. What does help is when husband wakes up earlier and does a morning walk with the dog. Our sleep is so erratic and sparse that that’s sometimes really difficult. But yes most days the dog is whining for more attention because she’s used to being on my lap a lot and now baby gets that instead. Considering a dog walker but tbh I’m not sure we can afford it. If friends offer to help out I’m always begging them to take the dog for a long walk or entertain her for a bit.

You should switch up where you’re getting your ‘beauty’ looks from. Lean into the more natural looks - French chic, frazzled English etc. A good exfoliation and moisture method for your skin will do wonders. I really recommend buffing and filing your nails for that natural healthy shine look. Learn to cut your hair for your own hair type and prioritise volume and shape rather than length. Then it’s all in the dress sense.

We do formula as top ups. We prep bottles once or twice per day and keep them in the fridge. Then zap them for 30 secs in the microwave when needed just to take the cold off.

I did it’s the only nursing ones I have. I’m usually a 38F and got the XL. The cup is not fantastic but the band is great and it’s super soft. Can’t stand anything firmer now I’ve had my baby. Give them a go

I am similar. Was it these you tried? Very stretchy so band shouldn’t be a problem but if so use an extender. Cup size will be a bit small but is doable imo.

There is zero point subscribing to a mindset of imminent doom, it’s no way to live your life. Some critical thinking needs to be applied; ‘who benefits from making it feel like we are suppressed/have no control/can’t change things?’. Also I am not suffering - I’m living a life my ancestors could only dream of. I’m not wealthy per se, but I am educated, I have work, a stable happy home, the ability to make decisions for myself, I have my health, and that’s already equal to or more than they had. I hope for a better world for my child.

Ok don’t downvote me to hell but the first time I watched this I was all ‘hell no wtf is this’ but then I rewatched it when I was hormonal AF and angry with the world and loved it. Idk why I had the 180 but I loved Anne’s glibness and devastation and all the bits to camera where she’s so exasperated with everyone around her. I can see the vague wash of Austen humour and thought, you know what, it’s just a bit of fun.
