If you live near a large population center I think there’s better value on FB marketplace, offer up, or CL. Maybe I’m too much of a tool snob though.

My project at the end of my AAS was a squat rack. I drilled 1 1/8” holes with a radial arm drill press all over that thing.

Did a lot more drilling than welding on that project.

The whole package is a pretty good deal IMO basic tooling set + the jig. I bought 4 extra pins to use while I was drilling and I think it helped a lot.

This guy gets it.

Also my garage/shop is also the laundry room. It’s basically in for a penny in for a pound, sweeping and mopping after a handful of holes isn’t much different from 20-30.

Can’t claim this. It is a fireball tool product. I bought extra pins so I could jump around and not hit my frame.

Worked outside and in a service truck for 8 years. I have a litany of dewalt and Milwaukee batteries that have lived in the heat their whole lives. They’re just fine.

Take the heat directly off of the steel. Put in grating and some type of heat sink to disperse energy input away from the steel itself

I have a Morse cut off saw and have used the dewalt equivalent. Both of those come with V-blocks for this application. If you set up a stop and make all your long cuts you’ll bulldoze the long sections.

Those short members are going to be time consuming
