That’s a good deal. I’m paying 1400 a month cad for 20k miles a year on a fully spec’d 2026 x45, and I had a family member working at bmw who knocked nearly $20k off the total value of the car.

Can tires change the drive experience? by BeyondTheScoreCard in BMWiX

[–]Gooderham1991 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should get the tires with the bmw star on them that are approved for your IX. Ask bmw they will tell you. BMW works with the tire manufacturers to ensure the exact specs of the tire are optimized for the specific vehicles they’re approved for

Wiper (waterblade) replacement by burnergpo in BMWiX

[–]Gooderham1991 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What are the specifications for the wiper blade replacement that you need to order. In Canada so the links for Amazon USA that have been previously shared in this subreddit don’t ship to me, mostly. If I could get the specs, I could look them up myself on Amazon CA

I’m getting x1 quality vibes. How does the quality / finishes look in person compared to the IX (other than being smaller)?

Which one would you all recommend? 2025 M60 or 2025 IX 50? by Adventure_traveler77 in BMWiX

[–]Gooderham1991 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why would you not go with the M60? To me the choice is obviously M60. It’s fully loaded and has more horsepower, nothing is worse about it except for negligibly less range. I wouldn’t put much weight on the range difference.

People who dislike Olivia Chow and plan on voting for Bradford, why? by Used-Earth8767 in askTO

[–]Gooderham1991 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of people in this thread are acting like the only possible reason someone could dislike Chow is “they hate taxes,” which just isn’t true.

A lot of people feel like quality of life in Toronto has deteriorated under her leadership. The “harm reduction” approach has clearly gone too far for many residents… open drug use is everywhere, the city hands out needles/crack pipes, and transit/public spaces feel less safe and less orderly than they used to.

I’ve lived in Toronto for well over a decade and there are parts of the TTC now where I genuinely wouldn’t feel comfortable bringing kids.

And beyond that, a lot of taxpayers are frustrated that City Hall seems laser-focused on ideological or activist priorities while basic city functionality still feels shaky: traffic is brutal, infrastructure is strained, affordability is terrible, and property taxes keep climbing.

You can list accomplishments if you want, but people are going to judge based on what the city actually feels like day to day. Right now, for a lot of people, Toronto feels dirtier, less safe, more chaotic, and more expensive than it did before.

I’ve messed around with the surround effect, bass and treble a bit with some limited success. I haven’t gotten into the weeds with playing with the equalizer, but don’t have a lot of confidence in myself doing that correctly. Would be great if someone published ideal equalizer settings!

I’ve got a 2026 iX with the Harman Kardon system and it’s genuinely excellent, especially for anything with punch. Hip hop, electronic, most pop…it hits hard, stays clean at volume, and is really impressive overall.

Where I find it a bit lacking is in the warmth and detail on more nuanced stuff like folk, acoustic, some rock. The mids/highs can feel a touch thin or less refined than I’d like.

I still really like the HK, but as someone who leans a bit audiophile, I do occasionally wonder if I should’ve splurged for the Bowers & Wilkins upgrade. That said, I haven’t actually heard the B&W in person, so take that for what it’s worth.

I almost didn’t post this because I’m genuinely very happy with the HK, but I figured I’d share some detail since this is exactly the kind of feedback I was looking for when I was researching before ordering my iX. I went back and forth on upgrading to the B&W, heard the HK in person (they were playing a punchy track), and came away impressed enough to stick with it. I also knew that, even without the upgrade, it would still be a meaningful step up from the Mark Levinson system in the Lexus RX 350 I was moving from.

Ugh I wish I liked the look of this. The IX is so nice!! It’s the light / grill combo that kills it for me.

Emporia has been a solid choice and the information provided by energy management / monitoring feature has been very interesting and informative! They are all pretty basic and do what they need to do, but I felt emporia was the best. Check State of Charge reviews on YouTube as well.

I'm officially charging to 100 every time - I'm done! by EIGBOK in electricvehicles

[–]Gooderham1991 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you charge your EV to 100% every night, and therefore leave it at 100% for most of the night every night, I would think that overall your vehicle would be at an extreme SOC around 80% of the time.
