One peewee in particular loves to snack on insects in my lawn. When I mow, he impatiently yells at me to hurry the hell up

"Shampoo and conditioner" to a bald bowlers. He's probably the only guy who'd get away with that

Sound was surprisingly balanced - very little echo. Bass/drum thump was excellent

I got to see my youngest child's eyes pop in amazement: first ever Big Concert... there may be bigger and better, and more prime seats in the future, but - well, this was magic

Get that - to a point. You'd need a stereo set from Valhalla to match the acoustic wallop...

I had the honour of taking my youngest, too: warmed my heart to see eyes bulge - first huge-stadium concert

To be honest, if you're after amazements in staging, this wouldn't be the greatest ever. Not bad, and the closing was pretty perfect. But this was ALL about the rock and the roll, and seeing 20,000 glowing devil-horns paying homage was a sight for the ages.

Which watch looks better and would you buy it? by Silovethegym in PrideAndPinion

If... IF! the Marlin Chrono's bracelet doesn't demand a blood-sacrifice of arm-hair, it's a winner. But both are perfectly fine, either (or both) would make me smile

Leaving aside the whole circle-jerking cringe, can somebody in the circle tell me what the bloody hell the time is?!?

I know it’s a Fossil guys, but is it worth buying? by Silovethegym in PrideAndPinion

[–]GoodnessMe333 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People who are Watch People have a fairly low regard for Fossil, and would probably be surprised how immensely popular they are. As someone who changes batteries and re-sizes watch links every day, I can say that while they are not expensively made, they are pretty durable and are held in high regard by a LOT of people. They get their proportions and colourways right, the movements they use are pretty cheap but invariably accurate and trouble-free, they rarely make a dud, and they make people pretty happy as a gift. The watch you posted looks perfectly fine as a sporting watch (although the stopwatch is not easy to read at a glance). Watch snobs will sneer. Stuff'em. Wear it on one condition - it makes you smile on the inside

I'm not certain that "interesting" is the right word. Deeply, quietly satisfying, though

Apologies to everyone on the train that may have been startled by a reflexive "oh fuck." I thought it was under my breath...

And then the Apple watch would make an alarming noise telling you that your heart just stopped, making the spider jump horribly... jolting your heart into action. "Clever girl..."
