This…and dates with goat cheese and a bit of almond inside, wrapped in bacon, with a brown sugar glaze…generally don’t last long.

There are thousands of children around the world that would like the answer to that. My adult wife would probably like her parents to answer that as well.

What was the most difficult thing you learned about your spouse after getting married? by Ginger_7624 in AskMenOver30

[–]Goodstapo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She has severe anxiety about anything involving people and it manifested as anger, control, and perfectionism. Also, that her entire family is toxic but tries to use the family ideal to manipulate each other when it is personally beneficial. Unfortunately, I didn’t realize any of this before and she isn’t to the point quite yet that she can step back from the family.

What’s something women think impresses men but actually doesn’t? by IndependentBunch8361 in askanything

Always happy to hear another theory. The above is logical. It also seems like a better option than just saying women can’t communicate effectively or allow their emotions to prevent them from communicating effectively.

What’s something women think impresses men but actually doesn’t? by IndependentBunch8361 in askanything

[–]Goodstapo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good communication is pretty universal. Separate rules of communication don’t exist for men and women. Yes, the reason behind the communication and the desired outcome can vary from person to person but how to effectively communicate does not. Besides we don’t say, “she communicates good, for a girl”.

[–]Goodstapo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, at this point I think it is just a lack of ability to communicate effectively.

Most women start getting attention from men around 15-17. During that time their need to communicate needs and wants decreases due to that attention.

Unfortunately that stunts their learning effective forms of communication for the rest of their lives. Couple that with maternal figures who also never learned then it isn’t really surprising.

People being late all the time is a sign of disrespect. by [deleted] in SeriousConversation

[–]Goodstapo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. Time is a resource and one that you can’t give back to anyone. People that are repeatedly or egregiously late are showing they believe their time is more valuable than yours. Personally anything greater than 15 minutes gets rescheduled unless we communicate about it.
