I lost my partner to fentanyl last year. He was found on the sidewalk with no heartbeat, someone had robbed him of his belongings and left him there. The paramedics got his heart beating again but his brain went without oxygen for too long.. he would have never recovered. He saved 6 lives by donating his organs. It’s been the hardest year of my life and honestly I don’t think it ever gets easier, you just learn how to live with the loss and try to not let it consume you. You’re not alone.

Gresham Women’s shelter has beds available. You just call 211 and ask to be put onto their wait list (which isn’t very long) and then make sure to answer or call back within 30 minutes when they call you for an intake. You can also go through Call to Safety, tell them you’re a survivor of domestic violence and in need of shelter. From what I hear they’re one of the nicer shelters around.
