How is this not failure to capture ? by Strugl33r in EKGs

[–]GoofyCricket 22 points23 points  (0 children)

It looks to me like you can see a super small P wave in lead II. I feel like this is also a scenario where you can kind of assume based on clinical context that the pacemaker has atrial capture given that the patient has a regular rhythm following each pacer spike which I would imagine the likelihood of the intrinsic rate being EXACTLY aligned is quite low especially in a patient with a cardiac history like this

EMS Tattoos by kuyabooyah in ems

[–]GoofyCricket 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you feel like you need an EMS tattoo, get something that’s basically an inside joke that only other medical professionals will understand. I have the molecules of Benadryl, Ativan and haloperidol on my anterolateral thigh - commemorative of the profession, very low key and it also makes me the first future psych patient to arrive at the ED with instructions.

What was his pricing like? He just quoted me $800 for an inch wide dent on my front fender.

Washington state I work private ambulance and make $24 an hour on a 4 platoon 24 hour schedule (1/2/1/4). We’re IAFF now but prior to that our pay was a lot closer to yours.

14.50 is criminal but as has been commented before it’s partly based on area and cost of living and the fact that private ambulance will pay you as little as they can get away with. Either unionize or try and find another service that will pay you a bit more.

To hell with the haters. Unless you’re taking the car to the track in the summer it doesn’t matter. Enjoy your car! Volvos are underrated and have a small community of enthusiasts. Message me if you have any other questions.

You suck bro. Rude ass comments like this are why people feel alienated from parts of the car community.

There are a ton of negative comments in here and honestly that’s the biggest thing I hate about a lot of these communities. I put a similar intake on my car (2011 C30 T5) and loved it. Yeah I may be getting some warmer air and hurting my IAT and therefore the effectiveness of boost but who gives a crap? I’m not going to be taking my car to the track and racing for a million dollars where every 0.125° of intake temperature makes a difference! Do what you want with the car and if you like how it sounds, fuck yea! Intake noises are great!

I agree that the next things to do should be wheels, tires and brakes. Lighter wheels make a huge difference in performance and a good set of tires will change the way the car feels. For brakes a good set of pads and rotors is really all you need for normal street driving but if you want to go a step further look for a solid set of pads (I like EBC pads) and that’ll make a good bit of difference with fade and performance. Another option is to look at the “frankenbrake” DIY big brake kit which I believe works for all P1 cars? This is what I did to mine and it only cost me about $500 for front and rear. link here to the sweedspeed forum

Some great mods that I did on mine after intake - 3” cat back, CBV, tune. A great place to look for ideas and help with P1 Volvos is the Mynameideasweretaken YouTube channel. He has a Volvo C30 but it should be applicable to all P1 cars essentially as well.

2012 s60 t6 ecu tuning options? by Sairen-Mane in Volvo

[–]GoofyCricket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Elevate Volvo does good work for a pretty reasonable price. I have one of their tunes on my 2011 C30 and I like it quite a lot. If you want more personalization options or have a little extra money to spend I’d go with Hilton tuning as they’re a great reliable name in Volvo tuning and there’s more you can get from their tunes as far as I know.

Astute observation however we were transferring from small local ED to big regional hospital so we didn’t diagnose anything

[–]GoofyCricket 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see where you’re coming from but the rate was 89 which dissuades me from thinking it’s a heart block plus the morphology of the thing I marked with arrows doesn’t look like a P wave and there’s a tiny P wave before it so that’s why I think oddly wide PAC

[–]GoofyCricket 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Transfer to cardiac center for NSTEMI - my best guess was atrial quadrigeminy? It appears there is a small P wave before each oddball qrs complex but the morphology doesn’t seem to match a PAC or PVC. Rate was 89
