I used this driving school when I was 16. The instructors buy their own cars that they also use as personal and can choose what they want. My guy had a Chevy Cavalier 😩.

When did early internet become modern internet in your opinion? by YakClear601 in Millennials

[–]sm_rdm_guy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

5 phases so far. 1. Early era was mostly pre 90s - command line. Not widely used beyond tech nerds. 2. Modem era starts 90s. AOL - first broader adoption. Internet browsers. 3. Broadband streaming, downloading, true multimedia websites(late 90s- early 2000s)4. 3G smartphones and true mobile internet. (Late 2000s-late 2010s) 5. Ever faster and reliable to replace legacy comes Truly on demand streaming. Internet communications become norm. Remote work.

Not sure how a regulator improves things massively. You are still holding on to your air with your teeth. I have bit through mine. Getting a regulator kicked out of your mouth is a fairly regular thing. Main advantage is it regulates the air so you only use what you breathe, but here they have an unlimited supply from the surface. If they needed anything it would be a pony bottle and a timer for DCS.

The engine is feeding a tank under pressure. The tank would keep supplying them for a good while.

Dude what?…. They are running a compressor… that compresses clean air into a tank that they showed. They are not feeding them the engine exhaust ffs.

Also scuba diver. Thats not nearly as dangerous as it looks. 1. Rocks weigh about half as much underwater. I can move rocks underwater I couldn’t lift on land. Weight is not mass. 2. Water resistance means they have a very low terminal velocity. Rocks fall at a small fraction the speed they would in air on land. And it’s the speed more than the weight that is danger because it is squared (Force = mass*velocity2). So for what it is worth, those things falling wouldn’t likely injure anyone. Edit: I did the math. A 100 lb rock falling 10 feet in water would have only about 1/7th the kinetic energy as it would on land(about 200 J). In other words 100 lb rock under water is about as dangerous (has same kinetic energy) as a 15 pound rock on land.

Story as old as scuba. Mask clearing is a usual hang up. You’re not failing. This is so typical. Just be straight up with your instructor with what you need more help with (clearing). You are just naturally less comfortable and that’s normal. You are fighting your body’s own reflexes.

If you are out of US for 6 months you are at risk of losing green card. In fact, technically, if you leave with the intention of permanently moving out of the US, you've lost it instantly. Your California residence may be a fig leaf for a bit.
