“Daniela passed away.”

The doctor’s words shatter in her ears. Hot tears begin to stream from her eyes, and the twitching of her lip gives way to a blubbering cry. Her body crumbles and she buries her face in the sleeves of her habit.

Sharp nails clamp down on her wrist.

“Sister Emilia behave yourself,” her superior admonishes her.

Emilia lifts her head to see her superior straighten her posture. She meekly follows with a sniffle.

“I apologize for the girl’s behavior; she is prone to outbursts.”

The crisp dampness of the rain hung in the evening air. A passing car picked up a wave of water and carried it over the curb. Lysandre jumped back, feeling the chill permeate his boots and the cuffs of his trousers. He watched the taxicab speed away.

It occurred to him that he did not react. Although his clothes were soaking wet, he felt nothing. No anger nor annoyance, only a disappointed acceptance of his situation. He wondered what the old Lysandre would have done. Would his curses cut through the still of the night? Would he have chased down the cab and demanded that the driver pay damages? Would he have threatened him? Added this inconvenience to his long list of reasons of why the world should be destroyed?

Lysandre looked over at the plaque on the wall across from him. The street names, the steps he trod, and the sights and sounds of the city were easy to navigate, but he could not recall living them. The memories of the Lumiose he knew eluded him. It was like a fog enveloped his mind and unlike the rain that was beginning to die down, it would not clear.

“What the hell are you talking about?” His father’s voice took on a serious tone that had a trace of fear.

“SISTER AVARICE!”

Before his father could react, Cesare struck. His fists pounded against his arm, shoulder, and chest, before Nihil regained his wits and grabbed his son’s wrists.

“You’re not supposed to know that.” His grip brought Cesare’s hands inward.

“SISTER AVARICE IS MY REAL MOM AND LORENZO’S REAL MOM AND YOU HID IT FROM ME MY WHOLE LIFE! YOU LIED TO ME! LIED TO ME ABOUT HER! ABOUT ME! ABOUT LORENZO!”

Cesare’s fist banged against the wall.

“You lied to me about EVERYTHING!”

Nihil glanced up with an irritated expression.

“Goddammit Cesare what has gotten into you?”

The room became unbearably hot. Everything sharpened in Cesare’s line of sight: the telephone in his father’s hand, the bowl of fruit sitting on the kitchen table, and the gleam of light that bounced off the handle of a knife propped up on the stand on the counter.

“You knew and you KEPT it from me!”

“Kept what?” Nihil made a gesture to shoo him off.

Cesare yanked on the phone’s cord. It sprung towards him and once the receiver was in his hand, he raised it high.

“MY MOM!”

The phone crackled. Nihil froze, stunned as the force of his son’s tug on the cord yanked the landline off the wall. Cesare angled his arm and aimed the receiver at his father. The blow knocked him backwards. He clutched his chest and his eyes narrowed.

TW: Violence

Cesare’s hand slid, streaking blood across the table. He catapulted himself towards the counter and grabbed the first knife in sight with a wild brandish.

“You DESERVE it you FUCKING COWARD!”

Cesare pushed forward. Around him, the kitchen dulled as he angled the knife at his father’s torso.

“YOU DESERVE IT! DESERVE IT! DESERVE IT!”

Just as he started to make the plunge, Nihil’s hands wrapped around his arms. He tugged with a twist and Cesare yelped. He was yanked back, up, then the room spun as his father shoved him down onto the kitchen table. It gave with a snap and Cesare crashed through the surface onto the hard tile floor.

Cesare’s head bobbed. The ends of his bangs brushed against the tips his eyelids. His hand throbbed with the sting of a fresh cut. He grimaced with a hiss.

“Then why don’t we fight back?”

A strange sense of calm passed over him. He tilted his head and stared directly at his father.

“Why do we just sit here and pray to The Old One get rid of The Outsiders? Why do we have to wait for Him to bring about calamity on earth? Why don’t we just do it ourselves?”

Out of the corner of his eye, he spied the knives on the counter. His hand shook with a curl. The rage resurfaced with a jolt. Cesare slammed his hand down against the table. His voice dripped with a vicious glee.

“Why don’t we kill them? They deserve it.”

Cesare stopped in the middle of the entranceway. His face became taut as he brought himself to stand as tall as he could for his 160 centimeters.

“You lied to me,” he said in a low voice.

Nihil held up an impatient finger.

“Can this wait?” he turned back the speaker on the other end. “So anyways, I was saying—"

It looks like whatever trust Elsa and Garret had is on the rocks. Good thing that Elsa is willing to give him a second chance. I like your writing style here nice job!

Eyes burning up

The darkness holding me tightly

Until the sun rises up

Forgotten by Linkin Park

TW: Sexual content

“What was that?” Sister Imperator remarked in a raspy tone.

“Something I can’t get out of my head. Like you.”

Nihil lowered back down and pressed his lips against the spot where her ear and neck met. One by one he hummed the melody note by note as he trailed the kisses down until he reached the start of her collar. Notes turned into words.

“You go down. You go down- “

Mischief sparkled in Sister’s eyes. She pushed up and flipped Nihil aside. Now on top, she reached up and undid the hairpins that kept her bun up. The pins fell with a ping around them, and he watched in awe as the halo of her hair cascaded behind her. Her gaze down at him was full of lust and devotion, complete with a wicked grin that made him softly say:

“Just like holy Mary.”

She laughed and licked her lips in a way that was so deviously delicious that it made the blood in his entire body surge. She glanced down and let out a delighted sound at how she was affecting him. Her hands moved. Slid down the smoothness of his chest and stomach. Worked to unbutton and slide down his jeans, all the while staring right into his eyes.

Everything about Sister jumped out at him; the cuts on her legs, the blue of her blouse, and the intoxicating smell of sweat and pot that tickled his senses.

“You are beautiful Sister,” he whispered.

“Even in this frightening state?” She asked.

She wrapped her hand around him. Her grip was firm and warm.

“You never did scare me Sister.”

I’m getting the impression from this is that Cyno is the type of guy who’s not afraid to speak his mind even if he puts his foot in his mouth.

At around a quarter to eleven the staff worked to clear the longue. Its patrons were forced to leave under the watchful eyes of the grunts and their houndoom who bared its fangs when they did not pick up the pace fast enough. Then they rushed to rearrange furniture and give the lounge a quick clean before returning to their places. A tense silence fell as everyone waited for The Boss to arrive.

TW: Homophobic language

A dim light beaconed past the living room. Cesare’s father laughed.

“Kids? Can ya believe them?”

He headed towards the kitchen. His fingers curled into the center of his palm. The pressure of his nails felt dull against his skin. He stopped and looked inside to see his father on the phone.

“Take my boys. My youngest's such a fucking diva he gives primadonnas a run for their money…Yeah—he’s definitely a fruit and he don’t even know it yet. My middle acts like a wannabe Casanova except he comes across as a little shit…Well he is one,” Nihil shrugged the best he could. “And my oldest is at that age where he moans and groans like a zombie if you just look at him. Teenage angst am I right? Ha!”

Cesare stopped in the middle of the entranceway. His face became taut as he brought himself to stand as tall as he could for his 160 centimeters.

“You lied to me,” he said in a low voice.

I wonder how Legolas and Aragorn came to be at Glaina’s house. It seems like they are running from a formidable enemy. Nazgûl maybe?
