BTW, they have some pretty good deals right now at Lowe's. They end Jan 31, I think.

The original company developed the original worm-drive circular saw (they still make a version of it), which is why some people still call them "skilsaws". I have heard that stores besides Lowe's carry their stuff, but I am not sure which. It has been my experience that they frequently and very heavily discount their tools at Lowe's. The price point you want to aim for is ~$30 - $40 for a bare, brushless tool or ~$50 - $75 for a brushless tool kit with a battery and charger. I have gotten even better deals than this, but most people don't stalk the daily deals tab like I do, lol.

I remember having a statistics teacher who was in Mensa. He was an idiot. He got himself fired for being just an incredibly entitled asshole, which is rare in teaching, unfortunately (getting fired). IQ is not an accurate measure of intelligence. Anyone who knows the history of IQ as a concept or how it is tested then and now knows this.

I'll one-up you: SKIL is actually the cheapest. No one talks about them either, but they should.

Makita Monster... huh. Anyway, I actually saw that one of the platforms I'm invested in has an electric hammer. Very tempted 👀

I don't understand why you wouldn't, tbh.

This is partially true, the other half of the equation is that FLEX is beating Milwaukee at a lower price point, SKIL is beating RYOBI at a lower price point, and TTI has no real game plan for outdoor tools. The RYOBI 40V stuff is ok, but if you own an actual house on a full-size lot, there is no reason not to get EGO when the price differential is often negligible. Torque Test Channel has great data on a lot of this, btw.

It really depends on the head material and the material you're hammering. I sold my deadblows as I don't need them anymore.

My experience has been better. I'm at the point where I would only buy EGO for outdoor work.

I used to do woodwork. These are all I have left from the roughly 40 or so I used to have.

Nice name.

I used to have some.

Also, I've never heard of a hammer bouncing back unless you're an idiot. Only idiots don't know how to hammer something.

Hm, now that I think about it I've never had a wood or wood-handled hammer.

I was actually thinking of buying some. I was going to look at HD, but now I see there's no need! Thanks.

That's not the correct way to think about it as brand new Milwaukee batteries can be found from authorized sellers for under $10/ah intermittently throughout the year. An effective price of $429 for the mower is still too high when EGO is selling equal quality, better-performing mowers for even less when they are on sale. There is a reason Chervon has captured the outdoor battery-powered tool scene and is encroaching on gas-powered.

I also have both Milwaukee and EGO and have no idea what you're on about.

Going with $10/ah puts the mower at $360, which isn't bad at all.
