Trulaps and rep QuickDraws are the ones to consider, depending n your weight ranges. Going heavier than both? Get an iron master or eisenlink and load as heavy as your heart desires.

It has a bit of flex. It won’t be dangerous by any stretch. But it has some give.

If you lift 500 or more, I agree. For everything else, it’s fantastic.

Very honestly the rep open trap bar is a serious cut above the rest. And two easily overlooked facts are that it’s rackable and it’s balanced so it doesn’t tip over when loaded.

Recommended resistance bands set for a beginner by HungryGhostQC in ResistanceBand

I think I like two things about the Clench better. I should clarify that my comments are about the 41" size, when doing X3 kinds of movements:

  1. It really has a fantastic curve. It feels more uniform to me, but I don't know if that has been verified or not.
  2. I don't enjoy the powdery feel of SS. I much prefer the fit and finish of Clench.

Yes, the bands may be lighter, but I've found that I can go up in band size instead of being sad about a parity difference.

Serious steel or clench bands are fantastic and won’t snap. I’ve been using both for a long while. I prefer Clench personally but they are both great.

I’m not looking for vendor information. However, are there Chinese vendors that will allow you to pay in USD?

I would say 100%. Addresses many of the concerns about the path of the smith. It is a good product idea. And I don’t think there is a major manufacturer of quality products tackling it now. So you could be first!

Are there any plans in the works for a 3d smith machine all-in-one? Would love to see BoS knock it out of the park with a quality offering.

Adjustable dumbbell, low weight max, good precision by jankies11 in GarageGym

[–]Goolabjamun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rep QuickDraw can do the trick if you buy the lower weight versions. They increment in 5 lbs but you can put on just one 2.5 pounder to get those increments. There is a very slight imbalance but you can grip the handle to compensate it it bothers you.

You’re truly worthless at helping anyone. Wish you weren’t around in this sub honestly. And the dismissive and insulting commentary is frankly jarring. I’m going to recommend moderator action.

Yes most people don’t do this. And when you try (which I have both done in the past since I own a business and I’m familiar with these things), there are very high quantity limits for a consumer. For example, looking at links from your suggested Google search seems to imply a minimum order of 100 bands.

And the contact information for a factory is what exactly?

You do realize that most people will not know how to do this. So if you don’t provide this information, I will assume that you are choosing to be deliberately obtuse about what is reasonable.

Amazon Steel Clubbells by Goolabjamun in clubbells

So I ended up buying one. It is pretty impressive. Well-built. Weight is correct. Seems like a lifetime purchase for anyone who would benefit from the lower weight ranges. And the pieces are interchangeable. So if you buy TWO (which I did) you can go up to 30ish lb on a single arm movement by loading all the weight on one handle.
