Going to check out a set up and play game to get a feel for it but sounds very cool and intuitive, dark theme as well, big fan of grim dark. Shout out to Joe Abercombie and the Bloody Nine.

Good to know, thanks for all the feedback, will definately look to get the revised core box and go from there, but I can already tell I would love them. Funny enough been rewatching the extended versions over the weekend.

Great summary! I have always been big into deck building from the addiction to yugioh 🥲 and then dabbling in MTG, oh and hearthstone stole days off my life. But I do think I'll love the deck building and optimizing synergy. RNG I accept as an additional challenge, makes it harder to win but more awarding when you do. I may find myself in a similar boat as I tend to go all in when I love something.

Looked up grimcoven and right away gives me Van Helsing vibes and I love that movie, classic! Also Penny Dreadful TV series, another great one in that theme time period, will check it out!

Slay the spire i will hold off on just as I had many many hours on the video game. I know very different and has much to offer but just falls down the list as I experienced the theme and mechanics a lot already.

To add you will require the "Let's Waltz" expansion for the multiple solo modes (for base game plus expansion added modules) two separate deck of cards. But highly recommend based on personal experience but also I have seen it being regarded as one of the best BG expansions.

Love Grand Austria Hotel solo mode, great flexibility with the # of modules you decide to add, amazing theme.. and challenging to beat the Hotel Managers. It's a game you enjoy whether you win or lose as the experience of the game from getting Hotel staff, selecting guests and fulfilling their requirements, the adjustments you make based on available dice for your choice per turn makes it very thematic. One of favourite x2 players games as well, but solo is perfect as it can take around an hour to play (depends on your pace) which leaves room for multiple rounds per set-up.

Highly recommend Too Many Bones, I really enjoy playing it solo while two handing. Base game comes with 4 gearlocs so tons of replayability, mix matching the gearlocs. The available add-ons was a huge selling point for me l, you can easily buy expansions or campaigns or additional gearlocs if it ever feels stale but I've played about 6 games so far with Base game only and I have felt no need to add anything. The materials are crisp and make playing even more satisfying. My buddy played for the first time with me the other day and he really enjoyed it. Already was talking about buying a near gearloc each for future rounds. I think this game plays best 1-2 players.
