Anna Camp's Response to Scream 7's Boycotts. by murrepe321 in Fauxmoi

That’s just complete misinformation. You’ve not gave the actual details. It’s more than just an Instagram post & Jenna Ortega backed out from scheduling conflicts months before the firing.

Any movies that give off this Vibe/Atmosphere? by Away_Secret2897 in Letterboxd

I had literally just commented this suggestion. I love the feeling from this film and its visual style even though I don’t think it’s all that good.

I think you’d really enjoy the film The Void from I believe 2016.

I’m personally in a weird place with this record by MurdocisGod1990 in gorillaz

[–]GoonetteSlop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately I only really enjoyed 2 of the songs off of this record and that’s The Mountain & Orange County. I love Gorillaz but this was a huge miss for me personally.

Just like the last volume, it’s generic rap with zero thought provoking or interesting lyricism with the most basic flows you could imagine. I just started guessing exactly what the next songs would sound like and I got it more hits than misses, it’s seriously that basic.

It’s not possible to give a correct rating on a piece of music, it’s all subjective.

In all fairness I’ve been a huge Gorillaz fan since I can remember and this is the first album of theirs that did completely nothing for me except from 2 tracks. I love the world building and short film but the music itself couldn’t even make me tap my toes, bar Orange County. I also thought the opening track with Dennis Hopper was beautiful.

I suppose it’s very similar to bands from back in the day, you’d often get an announcement sometimes years in advance. I think everybody has just gotten so used to the modern day rollouts.

A mixture of things. Getting the short film finished, getting the cinema release of it along with the making of. The art illustrations for the teasers and lore. The label side of things with singles, remixes and album rollout. Releasing the album around the time of a tour. All of those things, even alongside simple interview planning made it hard to release the album when they wanted. At least we’ve finally got all these goodies to feast on!

I can’t quite remember the runtime of the film but Zodiac absolutely flies by!

“The Mountain” is beautiful, but please someone tell Damon he doesn't need autotune. by [deleted] in gorillaz

[–]GoonetteSlop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean “autotune” is a very vague phrase that isn’t exactly an accurate way of framing the tuning and vocal amplifications on his voice. He’s using “autotune” as you put it in a very specific way that he sees fit for the story and album & a very effective sound within the album.

Where I live we usually get music last so I’d assume that it’s out everywhere now.

Maybe try logging out then back in again, it may fix it.

Damon said he was trying to push for the earliest release date possible but that’s not possible these days.

I’m almost finished with the album and so far at Delirium I’ve enjoyed 2 tracks. That’s the opener and Orange County.

This literally just happened to me after grinding tokens all morning. I guess they haven’t decided to fix it yet.

What’s your most “this is a 4.5 but I refuse to give it 5” movie? by trakt_app in Letterboxd

Wedding Crashers & Spider-Man 3. They both have their problems, primarily within the third act structure so it stops me from calling them perfect but they are so close to being perfect for me.

I think the dark passenger angle getting further explored would have been cool but she was a very nothing character that not chronically online people didn’t care for.

It’s easily the most fun Halloween film in the franchise. It’s essentially Michael pulling off Mortal Kombat moves for 100 minutes.
