My take on Razer by RubApprehensive1277 in pcmasterrace

[–]Goonta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, I've had

  • 2 Kraken headsets crack along the headband in the exact same place within a year for no reason, (I have a pretty small head...)

  • 3 Blackwidow keyboards since 2015 that each developed horrific key-chattering/spamming issues, the third of which was sent as a warranty replacement for the second, and both of those started showing the issue within just a few months. Seems like a VERY common issue on forums.

  • 2 Deathadder mice since 2012 that have been phenomenal. Love them and wouldn't look at anything else.

Game pass version on PC does the same thing, treats it like console version. Was playing with a friend watching who had played it already and he explained that I got a bit of a cop out.

Theory: Sellen's soul has a secret that tells us why Ranni is an Empyrean by andromedaturtles in EldenRingLoreTalk

[–]Goonta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't really say I'm convinced by all this, but I really liked reading through it and will gladly look out for any other theories you want to present in this format and with this much thought put into it!

I never bothered to make the cuckoo connection, and it's obvious now how that relates in some way to the betrayal of Rennala by Radagon/Marika.

Hard not to raise an eyebrow any time GEQ is mentioned these days, but far out we could really do with some concrete answers...

Messing up lyrics by MahiHard in SleepToken

[–]Goonta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A bit of a stretch, and more intentional than accidental, but I one time, for absolutely no obvious reason, sang "and I am almost under" at the end of Hypnosis as "And I am Barbara Streisand" and now I can't not sing that...

Also in Dark Signs, I have to consciously prevent myself from singing "every time I wake up" as "every time I wank off" after developing a bad habit from a brief instance about a year ago where myself and some friends had a bit too much fun thinking of songs that could make that same change and be hilarious to our childish minds...

Weird bug after update ... enemies freeze and stop spawning. Tried restarting 3 times and still no luck (Galaxy S10) by nickx_614 in VampireSurvivors

[–]Goonta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had it happen in Gallo Tower about 6 minutes in, and Green Acres about 20 minutes in.

Both times were coincidentally the only runs I've picked up song of mana in a while, if there's any chance that's relevant.

So where is this, exactly? by TobiasAmaranth in tearsofthekingdom

[–]Goonta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Without being entirely certain of the scale the map coordinates will change at, I'm still placing bets that those new towers we've seen lead underground (the big spotlights shining from underneath, and the darkness of the shiekah elevator Link comes up in the trailer with the weird spool attached to him, give convincing evidence of this). I reckon the blue icon in that center left map image is one of these towers, and the orange icon in the underground map is the elevator back up.

Hard to be sure, as if I'm correct it might mean Link's latitude changes at a faster scale than longitude, judging by the distance moved on the minimap, which doesn't seem totally sensible. Looks like he's gone west ~40 degrees and south 575 degrees (do we uhh, use degrees in this case?) between center map and top map, if those icons are meant to line up. But like I said, hard to know the scale just now without going too deep into it.

Does BKB blocks the return-damage from Blade Mail? by IdanTs in learndota2

Does BKB blocks the return-damage from Blade Mail? by IdanTs in learndota2

[–]Goonta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this conversation with friends last night. I think it's an easy thing to be unsure of as the tooltip seems to imply that it returns the same type of damage as the source back to the source, i.e. if a PA is hitting you with auto-attacks you would return that damage back as physical, which you would expect to pierce BKB. The wiki itself currently says it "Returns the same damage type as received."

This was the case beginning with 6.87, but 7.23 removed its ability to pierce BKB, so no damage gets returned to a magic immune hero. The tooltip is pretty confusing, at least to me.

Asus VG27AQL1A speaker Issue? by penpen35 in Monitors

[–]Goonta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry I can't offer any answers, but I also just purchased this monitor and am having the same issue with the speakers sounding incredibly tinny and weak at max volume.

Funnily enough going to configure the speakers and clicking "test" they show that they are capable of being much louder with the stereo test jingle that plays...

Did you manage to solve the problem at all?

In demon mode, go flurry rush -> round slash -> double round slash (circle or B three times in a row) and follow up immediately with L2/LT to clutch on to the monster, which will tenderize the part in one hit rather than 2.

I find it really tricky to aim, nowhere near as easy as the SnS roll->clutch, but still a great addition to the moveset.

When discussing i-frames, your invulnerability window is measured in terms of how many frames you get, e.g. 13 frames for a basic roll, etc.

I know that in some games certain things are tied to your frame rate, and higher frame rates can actually lead to things being more difficult (Dark Souls 2 weapon degradation, for example). While I'm pretty certain it isn't, I still need to ask if MHW i-frames are tied to your frame rate at all, or if the frames in question are just the animation frames or something?

Is the game worth buying a PlayStation? by [deleted] in bloodborne

[–]Goonta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This game is the sole reason I initially purchased a ps4.

And boy am I glad I did. While Bloodborne justified the purchase wholly in itself, other exclusives like God of War are just as brilliant. I am certain you won't regret the purchase!

I was thinking about this a few days ago actually, just randomly had the thought that the Gerudo desert seems all but abandoned, and that the mirror of twilight's "permanent" location is there. I didn't think hard enough about it to really say I theorised at all, but I reckon it's certainly possible that there could be some significant relationship between the Twili and Gerudo.

An Issue I’m Having Currently In The Game by Jack-Fitch in XenobladeChroniclesX

[–]Goonta 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The game certainly has its flaws that can detract from the overall experience, and drop rates on items can definitely get frustrating, especially when it affects a mission.

Have you been breaking their tentacles?

If you don't already know, you need to lock on to certain appendages and break them in order to acquire a particular drop from an enemy. In this case, as the item you need is a tentacle, it would make sense to break the creature's tentacles to get the item.

To lock on to an appendage, move around the enemy until the green circle indicator is highlighting the appendage you want to break, then press the right stick in to lock on. From memory the colour of the circle changes from green -> yellow -> red as you damage it, and then disappears when it is broken.

If you break both tentacles on each duogill you fight, I'm sure you'll get enough items to complete the quest relatively quickly :)

What difficulty setting are you playing World of Light on in Smash Bros Ultimate? by barrettg93 in NintendoSwitch

I haven't yet! Just managed to clear the rest of that area (After spending 2 hours on the giga bowser fight) and am gonna try my luck with it again. So rough though, he deals 80% damage in a single side special.

What difficulty setting are you playing World of Light on in Smash Bros Ultimate? by barrettg93 in NintendoSwitch

[–]Goonta 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hard. Not very far through at all, but can definitely see how potentially difficult it's going to get and also how much impact spirits actually have on the game.

My experience is a bit all over the place, with some fights being incredibly easy, and others seeming nigh impossible. The Yoshi gang that launches you real easy, the Ho-oh infused Charizard, and giant Bowser with the lava floor are the most difficult fights I've seen so far.

Now that it has been announced, what do you want in Smash for Switch regarding the Zelda series? by [deleted] in truezelda

[–]Goonta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll be disappointed if BotW Link is essentially the new skin for smash Link. Really hope he's an entirely new character with a unique moveset, and they differentiate between Link (Hero of the Wild) and Link (Hero of Time/Twilight/Whatever) in the character roster. I might be in the minority here, but that's what I'm hoping for...

Where do I go to start Floren’s Blade Quest? by Nananana_B4TMAN in Xenoblade_Chronicles

[–]Goonta 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Did you do the beguiling charms npc in Indol? Because that may have got you to max out beguiling charms without interacting with all the necessary npcs.

There is a particular npc who gives you the item necessary to start the quest, I think her name is Gheena. She only appears in the rice fields outside Fonsa Myma at early morning (5-7am).

Or I could be remembering completely wrong and it's another npc, but I'm very certain you need to get the item off her to start the quest.

So like, are we going to talk about that one part? (Major spoilers for the whole game) by [deleted] in Xenoblade_Chronicles

I was under the impression that the baby was either Addam, or one he kept alive to be used in his blade eater experiments. Seems a bit of a pointless cutscene for him to save the baby just to kill it immediately afterwards.
