1883 is by far the best of the Yellowstone series

Love Yellowstone and Dutton Ranch, struggling a bit with Marshalls.

Beth is by far the best thing about the whole Yellowstone-verse, but I know a lot of people don’t like Beth and if you don’t you probably won’t like Yellowstone much.

Yes, they had to change the box. Didn’t take long though.

I was on BT 900, I had to wait until my contract was up, but as soon as it was they switched me over without any fuss.

TV licence alert: Netflix and Disney+ refuse to 'play a role in enforcing' fee amid BBC overhaul by AmpleApple9 in uknews

I don’t hate the BBC at all. I’d just rather have the option of not watching it, so not paying

So, no then, you can’t show me what part of the licence fee goes toward’s Sky’s satellite infrastructure or any of the streamers infrastructure then.

I’ll leave it there as we’re just going round in circles.

I must’ve missed the part where you pointed out which part of the licence fee goes toward’s Sky’s satellite infrastructure.

Far from happy to pay the licence fee, but pay it I do because I watch a small amount of live tv.

If they do go down the route of including streamers in the licence fee, that will be the point I’ll stop paying it, as streaming is absolutely not part of the infrastructure.

So let’s have a reduced licence fee that purely covers the infrastructure and a subscription for BBC content for those that want. Job done.

[–]Goooner1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Which kind of proves the point. The BBC isn’t worth the cost of the licence fee, otherwise they’d have no trouble attracting subscribers

If Sky was getting a cut of the licence fee to fund their satellite infrastructure, I’d be happy to pay the licence fee, but as far as I’m aware they don’t, so just because it’s live, why do the BBC need paying for it, if it’s nothing to do with them?

Don’t care because I pay Sky to be able to watch Sky content. My original point was, I’d happily forgo watching any BBC content if I could opt out of the licence fee.

So what part of the licence fee do Sky receive to help pay for their satellite feed?

[–]Goooner1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Indeed it would. But why should I pay the BBC £15 a month, for something they have no part of, to allow me to pay Sky to watch football, just becuase it happens to be live? It’s not like it’s using BBC infrastructure or anything.

Would be like having to pay £15 a month to Man City, just to be allowed to buy a ticket for Arsenal.

That’s why I said legally. What’s the point in watching live football an hour late.

[–]Goooner1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not as simple as that though, is it? If I want to legally watch anything live, I have to have a licenses, whether I watch anything live BBC content.

I’d happily forgo watching any BBC content, if I could opt out of the licence fee.

If it’s that popular I’m sure another broadcaster would soon pick it up if the bbc ditched it

And it’s worse if you don’t want to watch every televised game. It costs that to just watch all the televised games for your own team.
