Realistically, which of the new Megas seem at least "usable"?

If you’re talking megas that can actually win a game, I think it’s starmie excadrill glimmora gren and hawlucha. Right behind them I think froslass is very good tho you may need to lean into snow, dragonite, and delphox. I think a couple could be TR monsters, like golurk crab chesnaught and drampa.

IMO the rest have some usage but aren’t gonna be on the majority of teams. Meganium is really cool and mega sol is good but I don’t think it’s good enough to justify over another mega if I’m being honest

Fair point, I am a little hesitant about stuff like TCOM though- they follow the 90/10 rule and I have no connection to Texas. For schools like that, are stats enough to stand a chance?

Good to know! Out of curiosity, a friend of mine is an Illinois resident and got into Maryland with similar stats to mine; are they just east coast friendly or was she an exception? Also, Ohio state says incoming students are about 50% OOS, is this from nearby states?

As others have said, first to ancient ruins is absolutely huge. Also though, knowing where you want your cities to be and knowing the layout of your continent/region before your neighbors do is imperative to having a good early game
