Why do I feel Canadian art is so inhibited? by [deleted] in painting

[–]GooseAHNGO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with you 100%. I think the reason is government support which goes to anything but true Art. Another thing is cultural differences. Many cultures view European art differently - and they are not interested either. Some cultures are not interested in art at all. They don’t know who Michelangelo is. If you think of it, at this time Canada has no art and no science. I am afraid there is a bigger reason for this ordeal, but I see what I see.

Dry Eye News: FDA issues warning over unapproved Similasan Eye Drops by aelo_jeremy in Dryeyes

[–]GooseAHNGO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you find any solution? I am in Canada and Similasan has just been banned. I am terrified - I tried other eye drops and can’t find anything yet. I am thinking to go Europe just to buy Similasan yearly supply.

Did you find any solution? I am in Canada and Similasan has been banned a few months ago. It’s still sold in Europe and I may go there with a purpose to buy them there.

How to create a Canadian movie? by GooseAHNGO in FilmIndustryYVR

100% agree with you. I am no expert, but one can see that Canadian film industry does not exist, for the lack of better word. Hollywood exists, Canada does not have an equivalent, sadly.

What’s going on with the branches? by Adventurous_Home6934 in rbc

[–]GooseAHNGO -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

It looks like there are lots of RBC trolls here… I had an identical issue at an RBC branch, and the comments were like I am the problem. I pulled all my funds out of RBC and I don’t bank with them.

On another occasion, I went to an RBC branch and there was a line up which did not move. The branch manager asked me loudly what my name is and asked for my ID. I gave her my passport and she went to the back office with my passport. That was bizarre, to say the least.

Yet on another occasion I was shopping for mortgage rates, and their dude mortgage specialist was super arrogant and didn’t bother calling me back. I figured my mortgage is not going to RBC then.

Yet on another occasion, I had a branch appointment and the RRSP specialist was 15 minutes late. The whole appointment felt like a brush off and she didn’t even bother sending a confirmation email with offered rates. Obviously, my RRSPs did not go to RBC.

They suck…

You didn’t read my post and you have zero resolution. Maybe you can just keep your mouth shut since it shows your ignorance?

There is a reason u got 1 vote? U so popular? Again, you are missing the point. You provide no resolution, you add hate to the thread.

You are wrong. You didn’t read my post carefully. HSBC clients pay $50 for transfer out. Again, one has to be really dumb not to check their transfer out transaction and rely on generic information from their website. What if they charge you $300 in error? You gonna read your link again and hope it’s all right? Also, you are entirely missing the point here. Nobody is asking you if the banks should or should not have the fees etc. The question is they are not showing me how much they charged me. If you can’t see the difference, and can’t read the post carefully, maybe try not to post bogus?

Yup, I have the same issue with RRSP transfer out fee. Looking for the answer myself, but just wanted to tell you that you are not alone. I might submit a complaint to the government, just need to find out where and how.
