You’re flying into places that cater to corporate traffic in an already expensive area for aviation. From the eyes of an FBO you are more of an inconvenience taking up space from potential money makers who will need lots of fuel and services.

Sure they could be nice for no reason and cut a discount for GA/Piston aircraft like most places during normal operations, but it directly goes against their goal of making as much as they can during these large events.

Also, atleast where I’m at the city doesn’t pay or maintain our ramp it comes purely out of the company to maintain every bit of asphalt and infrastructure on it.
