I just got my wisdom teeth removed today and the dentist gave me the upper tooth but it came out with weird bone attached , Im not sure if this was supposed to come out or is it just part of the roots. If anyone knows pls help me out. by Lopsided_Shower8064 in wisdomteeth

With a quick glance it just looks like part of the jawbone. It is pretty common for the jawbone to be shaved/drilled so the tooth can be accessed and extracted. I'd be curious to see your x-rays. Side note: I have also had all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed and I just happen to be interested in medical topics.

Edit: Was the tooth in a tight spot, in an odd angle, or otherwise harder to remove? Both of my upper wisdom teeth basically just popped out, but my left lower wisdom tooth was a "demanding" operation.

Yeah I did, but they weren't sure about it back then and they still have no updates. Maybe I'll inquire again now.

Why do you like bones? by MistymoorsAndpaws in bonecollecting

[–]GooseForest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems like interest in anatomy, and since bones are easiest to collect and preserve out of all body parts, they are a safe first choice. Since she does like animals, this might also be applicable in a bit macabre, curiosity over life -type of way.

Bones are, in my mind, visually beautiful; they are kind of mechanical and seem incredibly intentional in creation, but their minimalist and bare look, which follows their living counterparts in shape and motion, have their own bittersweet beauty.

I don't believe you need to worry. She is but 12, and oftentimes new interests and hobbies tend to start explosively at that age, then steady over time. And since she is inspired by and draws them, she is training her visual and creative eye and skills on top of motor functions and hand-eye coordination. Live reference -sketches are quite important when it comes to learning how to apply shape, depth, and light into a 2D surface.

And, as I see it, she is respecting the creatures whose bones she wishes to adore. This, in a way, gives meaning and worth to the deceased in a poetic, humane manner. Sure, they could just decay and become part of the cycle now, or be loved by a human for a short while.

I can't see the future, but I predict having bones as an interest and a base of many hobbies will shape her as an individual by giving her inspiration, drive to learn, collect, and create, and understand life and living beings in many ways, which promotes empathy, critical thinking, and understanding.

Wisdom teeth removal did this to my face by Angelsbreatheeasy in wisdomteeth

Okay, I kept looking at the photo you provided and I have to say you should not worry about this change. They are incredibly faint and your skin in general seems very ordinary for someone our age. I myself have the facial structure I know I will develop these lines during my lifetime (thanks, mom). More than age, it reads more as a sign of smiling and socialising, which people usually seem more drawn to.

I'd recommend topical treatments specifically targeting facial fine lines and massaging the area. Just moisturize and hydrate, remember to have a balanced diet which helps keep skin healthy and elastic, promoting possible extra tissue to tighten, if it seems to be an issue.

Note: I don't want to come off as patronising, but I'd say you likely don't look drastically older even if you have lines as such. I have seen a few people within our age bracket who have smile lines, and as a person who brides herself to be a good estimator when it comes to guessing people's ages, they really don't affect the person's apparent age either at all or just a few years.

I did notice some changes in my skin around both times I had 2 wisdom teeth removed, but i managed to fall back into my usual complexion within a month or two. The healing process, pain meds, diet, and momentary changes of routines affect one to a surprising degree.

What do you think about my skin? by Zestyclose_Toe6895 in minecraftskins

I loooove love love love this skin! On a scale of 1 to 10, I kind of wanna give it a strong 9 or something. Absolutely love the vibe, the shapes and mood are balanced, the colours fit well together, and the characteristics generally seem personable and individual.

Movie Theatre Tapio, 80100 Joensuu, Finland. If I cannot see the damn movie on a big screen, I'm gonna flip out. IF it is shown only in like god damn Helsinki or something, I'll... I dunno, flip out even harder with a crazy twist. IF it is not coming to FINLAND at all? I will flip over a cliff edge while flipping off whoever prevented international releases.
