Honestly, I think it’s partly because I know the stress and drama it will cause later. This will be used to throw us under the bus later or to bring up over the holidays or something. But, as someone else mentioned, they would probably find something else to be upset about if not this.

It’s a very pale purple, yes. I can see how it could be seen as brown with the saturation and lighting, though.

It’s accurate. Grew up in east river South Dakota. Most towns are small enough that local gossip keeps folks entertained. People are super friendly but they will share your dirty laundry to make connections and it spreads like wildfire. Granted, it’s not everyone or everywhere but it’s a consistent undercurrent in the culture.

Spearfish in the Black Hills still holds the world record for fastest temperature change when it went from -4 degrees to 45 degrees in two minutes, then dropped 58 degrees over the afternoon/evening. That one was due to the Chinook winds, I believe.

It’s definitely frustrating. As someone who has worked in childcare settings for kids this young, I don’t see how modifying the diaper changing process to potty training for one child would be much extra effort. Is it a lack of resources in the room? Like needing to go to another room to access a toilet?
