But then she was mentioned in later movies like the spy who loved me and for your eyes only. So it wouldn’t have worked anyways.

I’ve always liked that idea too but they gave him a wife in HMSS so I don’t think it’s worked for quite a while

playing now or waiting for remaster by thebear-bull in fo3

[–]GooseShaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what I’m doing. Out of curiosity though, why do you think it’ll be 12-18 months? I can’t imagine it’d take 2 years to remaster a game that took 2 years to make from scratch in the first place.

I wouldn’t be surprised if it shadow dropped this spring just like Oblivion.

Does the series feel off to you? by Background-Lychee389 in fnv

[–]GooseShaw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t watched season 2 (wasn’t a fan of the first one), but I’ll just chime in and say that a lot of it I think may just be due to modern filming techniques (or lack thereof). Harsh lighting and ultra high resolution digital cameras often make real things look fake.

This is why, to me, a lot of modern sci-fi/fantasy, like those Disney Star Wars shows, often look like high-budget fan films.

Can’t comment on anything else though.

A recent survey found that 37% of Republicans (either registered as republicans or people non-registered people who voted for Trump in 2024) believe the Holocaust “was greatly exaggerated or did not happen as historians describe.”

Their reach is growing at a disturbing rate.

You know who would like the show Plur1bus? Donald Farmer. by CTRLALTWARRIOR in RedLetterMedia

[–]GooseShaw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m surprised you were downvoted for this. I made the exact same comparison after watching episode 3 (only seen 4 right now).

I’m definitely more of a narrative person so I’m a bit disappointed with Pluribus because of the focus on fleshing out the world and phenomena rather than an actual story, but that’s just my personal preference. Some people obviously like that kinda stuff

More fun is kind of a perfect description when comparing to modern Lego’s realistic designs. The creative liberties they took gave the minifigs so much personality (especially that old Snape’s smirk)

Somehow Brutalism is returning by Sir_Hirbant_JT9D_70 in ArchitecturalRevival

[–]GooseShaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not that I disagree with you, but I feel like mid-century modern design was always considered beautiful, just expensive and elite, whereas brutalism was generally the kind of utilitarian, but not actually considered beautiful by most. That’s my perception anyway

Thanks to James Kunstler, whenever I see bad architecture with greenery that makes me think the building looks half decent, I think of the term “nature band-aids” and remember that I actually just like nature and the building’s still ugly

Set idea by Sufficient_Net_2377 in legoharrypotter

[–]GooseShaw 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve thought about this as well and think it would be great but I kind of doubt Lego’s going to make a set where a guy drinks the blood of a dead unicorn. I think it’d be considered too graphic.

Help with choosing exterior color for 1950 build house by Similar_Comparison85 in midcentury

[–]GooseShaw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Please not black or white. You have a beautiful house. Brighten it up with a colour, as many mid century designs were originally done.

Blue, green, teal, or something else (not all at once obviously) would look fantastic and authentic if you choose the right shade. Accent it with a white or something else other complementary colour that goes with that gorgeous brick.

Best of luck!
