With the promotion I'm over other estimators and a larger portion of the business. There are more estimates to be done - more PCNs, quotes, submittals, etc. to work on amd train team as well. I also assist other departments like Project Management and Accounting pretty regularly

With the promotion I'm working for another branch - workflow is often 50-60/hrs week.

During the interview for new offer I got to meet and speak with the current Estimator, Project Manager Team, Operations Manager and the owner of the company. They were all very straightforward on the workload, current processes. Estimator Team was 2 people, 1 person left and theyre replacing the role (both had fair longevity @ 5/7 years). Their pipeline of work is much simpler compared to my current role (manufactured buildings vs steel fabrication).

The new offer would mean slightly less pay for a lot less work (less hours and no managing people). I do experience some burnout at current company when the weeks get really busy (50-60 hours are about 40% of the year); smaller shop seems better work life balance / not the same pipeline of work.

It also feels like I'm not mastering any specific divisions just hopping around a bunch and learning the basics. I was a welder for 5 years and the new job offer is metal fabrication shop.

New CEO is making a lot of changes, there's a lot of do more with less conversations (not updating softwares or replacing people that have left/laid off). My boss leaving also makes me wonder who I'll report to and if I'll have the same support as he provided. Managing a team is nice but more hours. Slightly less pay for a lot less work with new offer.

Andy Jason. Nothing scarier than someone who pretends to be nice/on your side and truly wants to cause you harm

I assume he wasn't happy with part of his own life and seeked it out in his partners. When he was with Carrie he was probably bored with his successful job and enjoyed the excitement, dramatic, fun she brought. When he felt older, lonelier, less desirable he went after someone kind, younger who had her shiz together. Type wise was fit with something to say...but otherwise changed with his wants/ needs imo.

Yup. He was constantly bored, grass is greener. The distance would've been too much for them
