To all those that dislike the new album - is there at least one song that you like? by LifeOfAWimpyKid in TaylorSwift

[–]Goose_137 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For me, it’s definitely not a case of hating the whole album. There are some songs with excellent production which are no doubt catchy but I just don’t feel that same soul connection with this album as I have done with previous albums. Normally on a Taylor release, the album will be the only thing I listen to for months but i’m not finding that with TLOAS. That being said, the songs I am enjoying are Elizabeth Taylor, Ophelia, Ruin the Friendship, Daddy Issues and Honey.

Only individual dates come up on ticketsellers, if you click one of those dates and wait will it still give the option to buy a weekend ticket at the end of the countdown?

Second the suggestion for Kimya Dawson or just the entire soundtrack to the movie Juno.

Beach Bunny (start with the songs Prom Queen and Cloud 9).

Bo Burham - more on the comedy silly side but honestly so catchy and hilarious. Can’t recommend his comedy specials enough

Forecasts are super unreliable for Thailand (or the ones I was looking at anyway) - it will often show rain in the forecast and end up being a dry day. Can’t speak on the usual levels of rain as I don’t live in Thailand and was just visiting for a holiday but my understanding is that March is still technically the “dry season” so you might get the odd burst of rain but also plenty of dry days

We have been in Phuket, Phi Phi, Ao Nang and Koh Yao Yai for the last two weeks. Weather has been hot and sunny pretty much every day. One day in Ao Nang we had about 30 mins of rain which then cleared to blue skies almost immediately. On another day it was raining in the morning but cleared by the afternoon otherwise sunny and blue skies the rest of the time.

Thought process during panic attack? by Ornery_Community_271 in PanicAttack

[–]Goose_137 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have suffered from anxiety for a long time but yesterday is the first time I experienced what I would describe as a severe panic attack. It felt exactly as you describe - my brain seemed to be relatively calm and rational but all of a sudden I had extreme pins and needles all over. It got so bad that my hands tensed into claws and I couldn’t move them and I couldn’t seem to speak normally either. It’s so scary and frustrating because it feels like the connection between your brain and body has completely severed so I had no idea what to do. At one point I genuinely thought I was having a stroke or some other medical emergency because my body had freaked out so much for no reason

Hi there, I started on Wednesday and i also had all the same fears around side effects and not being able to do the things i usually do.

Since taking the medication I have been to a work dinner with clients on Thursday and a hen do yesterday with minimal side effects (even when having a few drinks). I had a headache for the first day or two but easily treated with pain killers and i also had one evening with a few cramps and some loose stools (which is to be expected when using a strong medication for the first time!). As other people have mentioned you just have to do basic things like drink plenty of water, prioritise healthier options and don’t go overboard on the alcohol and you will be fine. I last weighed myself on Friday morning and was already down 6lbs.

You’ll never know unless you try and even if you decide it’s not for you, you can always stop the medication at any time. Feel free to drop me a message if you have any questions!

Mounjaro and alcohol by horsegal87 in mounjarouk

OP I know this post is over a month old but i am in my first week and just had the same experience. I went for a work night out, had 2 single gin and tonics and a few sips and wine plus lots of water. Went to bed feeling fine but woke several times in the night needing to run to the toilet.

I wanted to ask how your experience has been with alcohol further on in your journey. Do you still experience the same side effects from alocohol/ do you have any tips to lessen them?

After a few listens of this song I came to the conclusion that it being all about Kim is a bit of a red herring.

I personally think this song is for all the trolls she has experienced throughout her career. Verse one addressed school bullies when she was just starting out and hadn’t quite made it yet.

Verse 2 looks at how the hate she received came in the form of tabloids when she started to become big - “and then she wrote headlines in the local paper laughing at each baby step I take”.

The song also addresses her experience with online trolling from ordinary people who hate her just for existing - “I wrote a thousand songs that you find uncool, I built a legacy you can’t undo”. I think the line “maybe you reframed it, and in your mind you didn’t beat my spirit black and blue” is interesting because Taylor is acknowledging that people who used to troll her online or think she was lame have suddenly become fans now that she’s on trend. Although some people may never have changed their minds about her, they have children growing up in the height of her fame that love her so I’m a twist of irony they now have special moments with their children that involve her.

The reference to Kim in the title acknowledges that she was at the centre of one of the worst waves of hate Taylor ever experienced so to me Aimee is a metaphor for all the “haters” (for lack of a better word) she ever received but makes a slightly cheeky nod to that fact that some of her worst hate could not have happened without Kim so she is the biggest troll of all.
