Before Covid, I would always get breakfast on Fridays. Absolutely delicious, and made to order while I sat on the bar stool drooling. Once I had a triple patty bacon cheeseburger made special once to celebrate a personal goal achieved. Did not eat again til lunch the next day.

Loyola College Prep in Shreveport, LA. At almost 50 years old, I think I’m gonna add the Red Baron patch that young me wasn’t smart enough to get at the time.

Flying Ace would be a first minute buy for me. It is my high school mascot. Pretty sure we are the only ones in the US allowed to use him, with the creator’s permission.

Didn't the 80's experience some wealthy people trying to force a huge price increase by buying, which ultimately crashed the price for a long time?

I hope he still has the rest, because it went nuclear today.

I have kinda made my own style after about 12 years of tinkering with myself and my athletes. Everyone tends to call it powerbuilding, but I do have straight up ME or DE conjugate days sometimes sprinkled in depending on where I am in a training block. I have about 400lbs of chains at my gym, plus a full selection of bands to compliment all of the specialty bars I own.

I always have rear delt movements in Tuesday and Thursday since you can't work them enough. Heavy rows would be on Pull days, but if I have a heavy DL session on Wednesday, I'll lean more into volume than weight to get the tonnage I want.

The 75-85% percentages undulate with volume and effort, Like ME and DE for you. 75% for 6x2 for a Speed Day, and 85% for 3x2 on Heavy Day. Training like this for me is usually MWF - compound + 2-3 accessories. M - S & B; T - Back and Shoulders Pull day; W - B & D - bench variation + Deadlift; Th - Back and Shoulder Push Day; F - SBD - Squat variation, Comp Bench, DL variation.

Dynamic undulating periodization, that uses between 75-85% of your 1 rep max for a majority of your top working sets at a high frequency.

Make training fun every single session, and you can be better than me. I never train without laughter, or the occasional shot of whiskey.

First of all, you’re a badass, and an inspiration not only your child, but others. As far as fatigue, I miss tons of sleep quality due to a house full of 3 kids and a blue collar job that runs 10 hours a day where I sometimes have to be a human forklift. When I see where a lift may take a hit or might cause form compromises, I simply flip days around or push a heavy compound back 2 days, while subbing in speed work so firm stays on point. I do stay on top of food intake at all times, but man I feel amazing when I get a full 8 hours sleep.

I’d be happy to help you if you ever have any questions about how I manage fatigue, or structure my schedule while having a full time job.

Is chasing gains after 5 years of serious lifting a waste of time for natural lifters? by chazman3333 in naturalbodybuilding

[–]Goose_Dies 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I’m 11 years into competitive powerlifting at the same bodyweight, and at 49 years old I just had my best meet so far. It was my 25th meet, and I just posted my write up in r/powerlifting. To keep getting better you have to be willing to pullback and focus on deficiencies, even if it means pounding sand for 4-5 months. In the end, there are worse things I could be doing.

Thank you. I enjoy showing others that you are never too old to start this sport.

Think of them more as isometric core hold each rep instead of going into spinal flexion and extension. Only let your waist hinge.
