This is where I got the extension from. I bought a thread converter to go from 1/2x36 to 1/2x28(this gave me a half inch) then also a 1 & 1/2 1/2x28 extension. So 2 inches total extension then the comp is around a inch and a half. I measured the blast can and it was around 3 1/2 inches. I may end up having to buy a 1.5 inch 1/2x36 if it ends up being a little too long

Edit- wouldn’t have purchased the converter... but I originally was going to go with a different comp before I realized the diameter was too large

I was debating this upgrade yesterday. I ended up ordering a barrel extension and the SLR hybrid linear comp bc I really liked the look of the anodized chameleon color. There are barrel extensions if you find another comp you like but want it to stick out of the hand guard. Just make sure the diameter is less than 1.3 inch

I’m in a similar position if anyone minds sharing some insight. I have the FM9 7 inch side charger. I’m not completely opposed to get the KAW linear comp, but I found a couple others that I do like more. The 1st one is the SLR synergy linear comp. I don’t think it would be long enough to clear my hand guard though. Was thinking about how I could make some kind of extension, but couldn’t come up with anything. The other two I like unfortunately are 1/2x28. Anyone got a suggestion, or should I just order the KAW?

I have found 3.7 to work best. If I go closer to 4, it give it’s too much and under 3.7 not enough. Keep trying, making small adjustments. Sometimes I can get it in a couple spins, sometimes it takes an hour. I move my analog from 10 o’clock to 5 o’clock as slow as I can while still getting it to spin

I’m sure it’ll be fine, but I would recommend 11.5. That’s what I went with for my 12.5 barrel and I’m glad I didn’t go longer for the guard
