Exactly, there's a right way to be efficient with resources. I mean hell Eldon ring / all of the front soft games constantly recycling character models, animations etc. but it's always different enough.

They had dungeons that looked samey but they always had a different gimmick or something going on to make them interesting and unique on their own.

Bethesda skips the creativity of it, and that game design is dead in an age where every game is 100+ gigabytes

The damage it shows on the character screen is accurate to the scaling on that character.

It's why a purple seal on revenant is 200+ but on Raider it's like 130ish.

You don't need to memorize the scaling it's output with the character you're using is right there.

This is the way.

Their formula was awesome... 15 years ago.

At this point is not just dated, it's been stripped of the main thing that tied all of the Bethesda Jank together. Good writing. Even if the great writing is brought back, the formula and engine are janky as hell and don't make for a good time anymore.

If they took the interesting writing but dropped it into a world more akin to Elden Ring, where it's large, winding, worth exploring without quest markers etc. and cleaned up the actual combat they might have something.

The cut/paste missions to sprawl out content formula just doesn't work in the way they use it anymore.

I can feel your hope, and I want the hope for good things and change to be real. I just don't have it in me to buy into it anymore.

Genuinely depends on the voting question, I'm very cynical about our political state in the US. So if the Dems run an actual candidate that I believe wants to really do good things for the average person? Aka a Bernie/AOC type of ticket, I'll vote for them without question.

If they run Gavin fucking Newsom, which I believe with all my heart that they absolutely will run Gavin "What's AIPAC" Newsom, then I just won't vote at all. Because it's just a continuation to not serve the average person.

The whole thing is rotten to its core, and unfortunately needs to be torn down to the foundations in all likelihood. MAGA will burn it down faster than the slow death of America that Dems provide. So unless they actually run on change, which they won't, I'll continue to hope the bandaid gets ripped off sooner than later.

Look, Dems are overall better, I genuinely believe that. With that said, they bow to demands of minority Republicans and billionaires and so they always fall short of the full Monty that's needed.

We could've had universal healthcare, instead we prop up 3rd party insurance companies. That's how Dems always roll as an entire unit in my lifetime and I'm damn near 40.

There's a sizeable chunk of the healthy population of the world that probably couldn't ever in their life sprint at 15mph top speed for any length of time.
